2. He demanded to be allowed to land in the first wave on D’day. When denied he asked what about the 2nd wave and again was straight up told no. So spent the remainder of 1944/45 convincing young American privates to take as close as 1km of the official front lines and certainly well within sniper range of any hidden snipers.
Also as a bonus full fact not only is Winston Churchill the greatest Englishman ever. He was half American and had an American citizenship. So he’s the greatest Yank too.

Yeah, but we would have been calling it the Third Balkan War if Germany stayed out. Their intervention against Serbia's ally Russia drew in France and then they pulled in Britain by invading Belgium.
