Tip for those who are playing on a normal server and can't change the difficulty to hard mode: Lock in the trade at the end of the process, not the start. If they turn into a zombie villager, they are home free in the process.
tip, you can just splash him while he is in the mid (or the trough part of the V-shaped rail, where he is dying) and cure them there if you want him to cure 5 times, and don't want to bring him back and forth.
@Anar Hajiyev No, actually potions on undead creatures apply the opposite effect, so the zombie would have strength. Try out it with insta healing and insta damage.
Effective, easy to build, and my favorite of all the designs I have seen. If you are short on gold (for powered rails) you can build the whole thing on a slope, and use levers to turn the rails into the wall (to stop the cart from continuing farther downhill untill you are ready). One thing to remember in this build is to put those two blocks above the trap doors! If you forget (cough) then your zombie prompty climbs over the trapdoors escapes and then embarrasses you in front of your friends who are watching. Don't ask me how I know this :(
Thanks for sharing the design. Works pretty well. minecarts get stuck inside occasionally. But you can use a hopper or chest minecart to push them out. Don't use a normal minecart. It will suck the zombie into it. Pair this system with a villager breeder and iron farm, and you'll never mine for diamonds again. Just cure the villagers TWICE. make a few toolsmiths, weaponsmiths, and armorers. They will give you one emerald for each iron ingot, then supply you with any diamond tool, weapon, or armor piece for just one emerald. And most of the items are enchanted.
I’m on Win10, I had an issue with the zombie not agroing onto anything, including me (the player), but break the 2 blocks above the zombie’s head. The blocks above aren’t allowing LOS to the villager
I like this, very simple. I wonder if it could be altered to have multiple zombie villagers in a small area to use say one splash potion for three villagers instead of one to one
thank you a lot for your tutorial. all the other ones are overcomplicated with redstone, and this one is really simple. again, thank you and have a good day!
Id you're not on hard mode I recommend doing the zombification process before spending time on getting a good trade because if will maybe die. Also you can replace the glass with trapdoors to cure the villager again
No. Zombies know there’s a block in the way and wont hit the villager. You need to put it in a minecart in that 2x2 area, must not be on rails or else it will push the villager. Thats it, use the same technique with the trapdoors.
Tip: Hard mode is best, because on normal mode villagers have a 50% chance to die or be converted. On easy and peaceful, villagers can not be converted at all.
I've been playing like forever in hard mode but me and my friends started playing together in server and I lost 2 villagers 'cause difficult was in NORMAL. I never knew this. They've changed the diff now to hard :D
Tip for people to get hundreds of villagers without building much - when you find a village, remove all work stations and make farms around the village, leaving just the composters for farmer villagers. After that you just need to spam beds around where you want the villagers to hang out and they will breed like rabbits. Kind of slow start but in few days you will have an abundance of villagers.
OKAY so I’ve been using this method for a while but just recently the zombie started to teleport in the mine cart just when the villager transformed and it was really annoying- but I found that if you make a 2 by 2 whole instead and put the zombie in the boat it doesn’t do that anymore
no because if a zombie attacks a villager on easy mode there is a 100 percent change of the villager dieing and in normal mode theres a 50 percent change of it dieing and in hard mode there is a 0 percent change of the villager dieing
No just make a hole close enough to the villagers and lead a zombie in and covert one a couple times and it should lower the prices of your other ones and make sure the villager is locked in with a trade
other villagers nearby took the job form the guy when he was zombie, so when he got converted back hes trades reset:( Edit: i forgot to trade before sending him to the zombie, problem solved:)
so if i lock the trade and send him where i want him, and then i break the work station and then put it where i want it. will he still have the same trades when i put down the work station where i want it and the villager in my world?
when you switch back to normal instead of getting the zombie villager 100% of the time normal difficulty only has a 50% chance to turn the villager into a zombie if it doesnt turn it dies its best to use zombie converters on hard and get the prices as low as possible before you switch to normal
another easy method i always use... go to village and let the zombies load there, wait for a villager to die and convert into a zombie then let him target you all the way to your house.
I have no idea what’s going on for some reason The powered rails are no longer working I just tested it yesterday And it worked fine now it’s not working
Does this not work on the new update or something, my zombie keeps infecting my villager but the villager pops out of the cart and my zombie goes into the cart, copied to a tee, unsure what's wrong
I’m in hard mode and my zombies keep killing the villagers each (time not an issue due to me having a breeder) but is there a way to stop them from killing the villagers?
The Converter works really good. Very helpful. But i got an other problem... My Villager dont restock their trades. Can someone help me with that issue?
@@stanwickpedidly4953 Sounds like it's working fine then. Villagers can only restock twice a minecraft day, but they're a bit stubborn at times and might refuse to restock for a little while. Fyi beds are only needed for breeding
So it wasn't working for me but I got it to work *SOMEHOW* this way: if your villager is in front of the zombie on the track, then put a block next to the track so it goes: Zombie > Track with Villager in a Minecart > Random Block. Then stand on top of that one block. The zombie will somehow 'look up' at you but then see the villager and convert them
I tried it in Bedrock and it didn't work for me. There were two problems: 1) The minecart seems to have more momentum in Bedrock, and it doesn't stop precisely at the powered rail spaces. This isn't a huge deal, but it does make the system a little janky. 2) The bigger problem is that when the zombie kills/converts the villager, it seems to also cause the villager to be ejected from the minecart. That's already pretty bad, but also the zombie who killed the villager has a good chance of getting in the minecart himself. Problem #2 is the biggest issue. I'm unsure how to solve that. I'll mess around with it a bit. I'm not a very experienced at Minecraft so maybe I'll figure something out eventually to make this work.

Good idea
Wouldn't The weakness effect the zombie?
@Anar Hajiyev No, actually potions on undead creatures apply the opposite effect, so the zombie would have strength. Try out it with insta healing and insta damage.
@@Thederpnight actually no this only works with potions of instant health and damage and not all potions
@Anar Hajiyev you want the villager to take damage tho
Just what I had been looking for. Functional cheap and no unnecessary fuss.

so if i lock the trade and send him where i want him, and then i break the work station and then put it where i want it. will he still have the same trades when i put down the work station where i want it and the villager in my world?
yes once you lock in the trade that is all that will show up for as a job :)
I have zombified a villager more than 5 times, but the prices didn't lower that much. Sometimes, the prices even got higher after zombiefying.
did you hit it?

nice video but you only need 1 stack of food
does this converter work in bedrock?
Do you still get the discount if you turn and cure them as regular villagers before giving them a job?
yes
If I’m playing on normal and switch to hard mode to do this, if I switch back to normal mode later, does it change anything?
no it doesnt
when you switch back to normal instead of getting the zombie villager 100% of the time normal difficulty only has a 50% chance to turn the villager into a zombie if it doesnt turn it dies its best to use zombie converters on hard and get the prices as low as possible before you switch to normal
