@@raisinscan that may be the case perhaps. However, I'm talking specifically about 2004-2007 and it was the Leto Brothers with Tomo Miličević and Matt Wachter. The latter two being the ones who brought the rock influence to the band. Without them the band sounds like shit. They still play versions of their hits but they are hardly comparable to when it was a foursome and they initially wrote the songs. With each passing album you can see the egoism and the celebrity creep into the music. You can almost feel Jared focusing on things other than the music and trying way to experimental shit. They should've kept it rocking like they were when they first broke out. They had great potential man. The Kill will forever be one of my favorite songs of all time. Attack is another song that is fantastic but The Kill is the best song they ever released.
@shannonstewart7952 I'm not 30stm fan, but I've been following Linkin park very closely and their fans say the same, oh they are pop now, oh they are sellouts, blablabla Dude people change, they get old, their voices and ears get tired, their tastes change. Jared said he can write a progressive rock album easily in a recent interview, easy is boring. I'm pretty sure both bands want to write what they want to listen and play, not being stuck in one genre. I love the first albums, but I love the last albums equally. Tbh they can write a folk album - I'll still support because Mike and Jared are fucking geniuses and I'll always listen to what they got to say, lyrics and mv's are always awesome. If you don't like the direction they took (pretty long ago BTW), maybe you should stick with groups that play what you like and not be in this comment section at all? Ps im fucking tired of The kill, its like they are a band of one song, im really close to hating it tbh pps wasn't it always the cult of jared? it seems like he was always hella bossy with everyone lol
@@raisinscan you are looking into my comments way to deeply. The cultish part i'm talking about is - there is like a literal cult who worship jared and there music is not even rock anymore. Yes, some songs(the kill) can be overplayed and become boring, i get it. I was just saying that they only had 2 or 3 songs I ever liked to begin with. There is a guy who was a fanboy for 30 seconds and he did an hour long video detailing their history and if you watch that video you will see what i mean about the cult of jared more specifically. Its kinda creepy. I'm not that big of a hater man. I made one comment randomly and you replied. I don't keep Jared in my mind that damn much. Was just an offhand comment to something i seen on youtube. That is all. Music and Art in general are subjective. So as a fan of music and art I get the right to express an opinion about a band that as they continued to make music got progressively and progressively worse. Now it is just the 2 brothers and they play shitty versions of their hit songs and they play songs that absolutely suck. That is all i'm going to say on it. I've already in this thread put more thought towards this band than I have ever before.
