Yes girl you totoally need those kiddos to help you. You and Chris do so much! I personally have my 7 year old unload the dishes every morning while my 6 year old picks up the dog poop every morning. I also have them put their laundry once a week. They also tidy their room almost every night before bed. My 7 year old feeds our dogs every morning and night and my 6 year old takes out all the trashes/recycle. My 3 year old helps with trashes and helps dust.
I live in Kenya, East Africa and I have to freeze the spinach in batches for my smoothies (spinach is a luxury)... like I freeze resuable baggies for my bananas and fruit. (Plastic is not allowed here). The taste is not compromized and neither are the nutrients. It tastes even better in the blender...colder!
I once heard “if they can walk, they can work”…everyone gets to help and contribute at an age appropriate way. For littles we’ve done; putting shoes away, restock toilet paper, make their beds, clean their room, keep a downstairs/upstairs basket to unload on the opposite floor, set the table, etc.
I have 10,7,3 and 10 month old and all boys and my oldest son learned to at least wipe down the bathroom counter and mirror and tidy up and load and unload the dishwasher. 7 year old gathers all trashes from everyone room and puts all cans back. Picks up and puts away toys and shoes and towels must be hung up. 3 years old cleans up all toys before bed and makes sure all clothes are in the hamper and also helps with trashes. They are capable for sure. The two oldest also know how to mop and I make sure I take the time to teach them excellence
Clean their own rooms, dishes, put their own laundry away, set the table, bring dishes to the sink after dinner, gather trash for trash day, it gives them confidence and teaches how to run their own house someday. Done is better than perfect!
My favorite videos are grocery hauls, meal planning, cook with me and recipes. Especially healthier high protein, lower calorie recipes. Thanks for sharing your day with us!! ☀️☀️☀️
14:55 I have 2 boys, 5&6, and over the summer I taught them how to do their laundry; into the washer, dryer, then into their baskets that goes into my room to fold (I’m particular when it comes to folding and putting away the clothes, so I’d rather do it.) Next, I will teach them a household chore, like vacuuming, unload the dishwasher, etc. I’ve taught them since they were little to pick up their toys and put them away, which they are very good at doing for the most part. One thing at a time, one step at a time.
I feel you on the chores…it’s hard to implement. My 9 yr old has to take out trashes when full, sometimes unload dishwasher. I need to have him do more; only getting older.
You know how much I love your channel! It's so refreshing and encouraging! You're such a delight to watch! You truly light up my days and bring so much joy into my life. I cannot thank you enough for being who you are 💙🤍🥹
Girl, I am hooked on your channel! You are one of a kind. Your energy, style, and presentation are outstanding. Thank you! 💖💖 Like I will always say, you are the g.o.a.t.!! We started our son with a chores list when he turned 6 (he loved to vacuum), as well as started teaching him how to cook. Now, at 19, he's an ok cleaner-upper ☺and a fantastic cook (still have to fight with him about cleaning up behind himself when he's done cooking though 🤣🤣)!
Thank you so much!! I’m really working on this with them the hardest part is when you’re in a rush and you just want things done quick I wish there was more time in the day!
I love grocery shopping on Fridays! I feel more relaxed about it since work is winding down, and I like having fresh protein/produce for meal prep day (for us that is Sunday). If I need a mid-week trip, I try to reallllly stick to a budget and do my best to challenge myself to use what we have before feeling like I have to make an expensive stop. Tuna salad sandwiches, mac n cheese, frozen meatballs, I try to have all of that on hand at all times for "empty fridge" days. Thanks for the motivating videos!! :)
My 5 year old daughter unloads the dishwasher (she just dries them and puts them on the counter and I put them away), she brings her laundry basket to the laundry room when it’s full and she cleans her room so I can vacuum and wipe everything down- when she does it she gets a check and after 5 checks she gets a reward.
It's definitely overwhelming and stress me the most thinking of the deep cleaning of the whole house after summer vacation. I will follow your advice and start with one room at the time. I will follow your lead!!!! You are always the best motivation!!!!
Yes Tiffany I have a 9 and 12 year old they have to clean there room , put there close away, pick up there toys, watch there plates 🍽, they need to put there close in the washer and dryer
I’ve been feeling overwhelmed lately w my home I already took down my summer decor and have my normal regular decor up and I love the simplicity !! We went through toys and Decluttered them ! I went through my kids’ clothes & I still need to do my clothes and then donate it all !! Feels so good! I did a reset of my room last night and I love my room again😂
I have a 10 yrs old and I'm so grateful for her she wants to do everything with me. I live in Kenya and we have a farm so she's in charge of the chicken her pride and joy (feeding, watering, picking eggs and making sure they're back in their cages), she's incharge of her room makes sure her clothes, books, toys and bed is always neat. Weekends she helps wherever she can after her studies on top of her daily chores
Tiffani just a suggestion for your washing machine, just leave the door open when you are away for a long period of time. I do it when my family is away for the summer as well.
I would love to see protein baked goods on the new site. I joined 1st phorm with Bree and loving it! 13 lbs down now and definitely stronger. I am having trouble with finding appropriate protein muffins/cookie recipes. Im sure they are out there, but with an infant and toddler taking up most of my time it would be so helpful to know that sites I already go to have what I need.
Tiffany , I told you my friend you’re an amazing momma ! You and Chris work so hard together !!!!!!!! Love you my friend . Thank you for being you. 💗❤️💗❤️💗❤️
Hi hope this gives you ideas. I tell my 6 and almost three pick up your toys or anything on the floor because in 10 min i will clean the floor lol. I start the washer and have them load the washer with their clothes just once a week . And i have my almost 3 fold kitchen and face towels and my 6 fold regular towels. So far those have been helpful for me . Love your videos. We got this. It's a bit of challenge. We will get it done ❤
My 19 yo daughter has the SAME curtains the girls have in their room! I would have called them to pick up their stuff because that's how they are going to learn. I have 4 teens now. They rotate chores every night. Dishes, counter, laundry and sweeping (although the sweeper usually gets out that vacuum thingy and does a horrible job). When they were all 5 and under, every night before bed I we would go through each room and they would throw their own toys in their toy boxes. In the living room we had 2 of those felt cubby boxes and they would put toys in there. Even from a young age they can be responsible. You are aren't hurting, you're helping and when they are younger, they actually enjoy it.
Mine is 9-5-2 and they all do chores the youngest helps put laundry in and out the oldest does his own laundry and dishes and mops also vaccums and the middle helps with laundry and dishes everyone cleans up there messes and picks up there own toys I use a system with key bracelets the tags for keys on the wall and they grab them put em on and when each chore is done the put it back up on the tag holder!
Glass jars with air tight lids have worked the best for me and trying to make sure you get them as dry as possible I also like adding a paper towel to berries to absorb any liquid
I love your channel, you're an awesome mom. To answer your question about age appropriate chores, I have a suggestion to ease them into it. They can pick up after themselves - Everli can put her shoes away and toys after she finishes playing with one. The older 3 can do that too, and additionally when they get ready for sleep carry their clothes to the hamper. Just a few simple ways you can ease them into it. Also Ella might enjoy using the stick vacuum.
I like to put my instacart order in Sunday night to be delivered Monday morning. When you order the day before you get $2 off! That also gives me time to remember anything I forgot.
Here in Belgium, summer vacation is in July and August so when I see a lot of American TH-camrs talk and decorate for fall, I cringe a little. School starts September 1st (or 2nd this year) and fall is September 21st 😊.
I agree. When my girls were in a sport, they had to see it through. I did have chores for my girls. They had to put their toys away. I had them make their bed at age 6. They had to make sure their dirty clothes were in the hamper. I would love to see written out recipes. I want to eat better and you have a lot of yummy looking meals.
OMG you guys don’t start school till September?? You so lucky. I live in northeast Georgia and we started August 2nd. It’s too hot to go back this soon. For us August is the hottest most humid month of the season.
I feel ya girl! I too always get overwhelmed with the massive amounts of laundry to do and being a family of 7 there’s always SO much!! We hanging in there though 😂😂😂 Love your vids, you’re very inspiring!!!
My 9 year olds chores are picking up his room, and taking out his bathroom trash. I have an older soon to be 13 year old so he does the kitchen trash. Little chores that actually help so much. 😅 I also have a 2 year old and he definitely does a lot of helping around the house compared to my older boys
Hi, I love your videos get motivation from them, the printable are my favorite. I have a 14 year old and seven year old, they sweep the floor, refill the toilet paper cabinet and are learning to do laundry, thy have light chores tho😊
Would love to see more how you decorate and where you get your decorations from. Maybe film a shop with you for decorations. Also how do you find time to do this?
Oh my goodness, I got a spinish hack for you for smoothies. My spinish always went bad, so I put it right into a freezer bag from the container or bag and throw it in my smoothies. I researched, and it has just as many nutrients.
If you have a printable that is for a morning routine for a mom that’s just starting out on being able to exercise and get her life on track. That would be so helpful to me❤ I am now an empty Nester and full-blown menopause and I am only 38. My mind is going 50 different directions, but I also am so excited to figure out who I am after being a full-time parent for 23 years. I am extremely exhausted, lol but I don’t know where to start any help that I could get from your printables or just advice alone from anybody or you would be absolutely fantastic.❤ also remember chores help them to learn responsibility! If they don’t do their chores than no iPad or what ever you think. That’s just what I did.
Mi niño de 10 años me ayuda en algunas tareas de casa , pero el tema de ropa y toallas sigue estando x toda la casa , estamos trabajando en ello. 😅 Creo que es saludable para ellos que vayan desarrollando responsabilidades .
Have you looked into subscription for your items you repeat ... I know Walmart and Amazon have subscribe and save ... It'll come automatically when you set it ...
gah my home sooo needs a reset! for sports/activities - If my kids start something then yes they have to finish the season - if they sit on the bench that's fine but you finish the season and cheer on the team - My 3 year old - she didn't start soccer - I started that for her cause she always wants to be on the field with her brother - when she was over whelmed with doing it without her brother there i pulled her - she didn't choose to start that at age 3 - i chose that for her so I don't think that's applicable at that age.
I can relate! I did Tanner and Ella at that age and didnt make them finish because it was too much and they hated it. It was chaotic and unorganized. However this year EVERLI IS BEGGING TO GO and shes almost 4. Loves playing soccer with her siblings and I am hoping she loves it.
@BeautyTheBeastons Friday works well for us and we normally out Saturday and then Sunday relax and a reset ready for week, where prep fruit etc for the week x
Hey !! So excited for this video! I woke up after a rough day yesterday & said oh it’s Tuesday and Tiffani Tuesdays! Then I got excited !! Been feeling discouraged and defeated, but this is just what I needed! Thank you 🥹❤️
