I fight tilde all the time on elite smash. I just found out he's a pro a few days ago. My winrate against him varies from 30% - 40%. Always fun games, even if I don't get to play for an extended period of time during his combos.
Something special about these videos and guides are the fact that even if it isn’t ur main or a character you wanna play, the video is still super interesting and entertaining . Sometimes they even made me want to play or at least try a few characters which is rly impressive!
As a quick note, fair drag down's don't work on fast-fallers because they get hit by the landing hitbox. Fading back before fast-falling can help with avoiding that with the exception of super fast-fallers like Fox. You don't need to fade back at all for floaty characters.
Great video. Even better production than in the past and production in the past was great. Every video makes you think the featured character is broken.

I have a friend I play Ultimate a lot with especially when it first came out, and back then I was pretty shit at the game because Ultimate was my first Smash Bros game, but I remember this one day I kept losing a ton in a row and eventually he even picked my main and beat me with him, so I just fuck it and randomly chose Falco, and won with Falco, and ever since then Falco has been my secondary
With the combo potential these characters have, im surprised no one took the models and made a spinoff fighting game and before people rage out about "Smash is Fighting Games" im talking traditional fighting games where you don't have to worry about fast falling and be reverse moves
So not a huge smash fan, and by that I mean I suck at it lol. But yes to all of this. Watching this is like watching Wide recovers talk about route concepts. It’s like watching AI crossover inferior opponents in practice. This DRIPS swag and I’m ignorant to like 90% of the shit you are trying to explain and honestly… I wouldn’t want it any other way! Ayyy falco lets goo, ive never seen a falco player that used ALL of their moves in the right situations. Man just leveled up the whole player base. Also I would like to see art of ryu/ken because most smashers dont know them well yet.
I think with Falco it is still good to play a secondary now and again because sometimes you forget to play neutral, I myself play Falco with a Wolf secondary. Whenever I catch myself fair spamming on shield with Falco I switch for a few games to remind me to be patient.

@@dodosilent Lucina is an amazing secondary, like wolf she has a very intuitive and non cheese play style that forces you to be patient. I think she covers alot of Falco's bad match ups too.

I was considering dropping Falco since I play so many characters and haven't played him much in a while, but now I want to play him again. He is too sick!
Two things not mentioned in this video that are very important are: 1)the drag down Nair is weight dependent for frame advantage with it being at worst +6 on super heavies and up to I think +8 or 9 on Pichu or something I don't remember exactly, hence the guaranteed grab or up tilt so against anyone under I think 100 weight, so anyone under cloud's weight which notably includes lots of top/high tiers like Mario, the drag down nair to upsmash is completely true, providing the upsmash will hit their character model, if done correctly as a reliable kill confirm. 2) I don't think enough time was spent on his amazing edgeguarding ability. It is quite literally at worst top 5 and more likely top 1-3 in the entire game because of the sheer amount of space he can cover on reaction with his fast fall speed and amazingly high and quick double jump along with his long lasting hitboxes combined with the laser and reflector being able to consistency control the horizontal space to force certain recovery paths. He is one of the most consistent at taking early stocks or at least forcing reliable guaranteed damage with edgeguards with the ability to drift extremely far offstage either waiting to react and punish on seeing an option or while using an aerial/special to cover options to push the person close to the blast zone and then finish them and still make it back to stage safely because they won't be able to contest his recovery if they are dead or focused on recovering themselves and Falco's recovery can reach extremely far if uncontested. E.g. an extremely simple edgeguard is after launching an opponent to simply full jump or short hop dependent on the height of the launch and fully drift toward the opponent offstage and then wait to see their reaction. You can consistently catch any opponent trying to jump and go over you with a rising fair or nair due Falco's superior double jump and kill extremely early by drifting the aerial even further toward the blast zone or if they choose to go lower then eventually you will reach them and be able to just again use Nair or Fair in a spot they have to pass to reach the stage. If timed correctly they will be at such a height that they have to commit to their recovery choice at just about this time and jump or up b into Falco's move or fall too far to make it back to the stage. Falco can then retreat to stage and repeat the edgeguard attempt if they live and you make it back before them. If something goes wrong and the opponent makes it past Falco and reaches the ledge and Falco is still at a height where side b will grab the ledge or can jump to reach that height he can hold down on his side b recovery to keep the spike hitbox active at the ledge to attempt to 2 frame or catch an opponent who is trying to release and counter the edgeguard attempt. Of course, this is simply one of the many things Falco can do to get consistent edgeguard pressure that are all relatively simple to execute once you are comfortable and know exactly how far he can recover from both with and without his double jump.
I use Falco online all the time and do most of these moves, its funny how everyone and there mamma are using kayuza right now but theyre all getting hit with straight combos.
I now really want to see you do an Art of Steve. I know what your opinion of the character is but he has an obscene amount of tech and it would honestly be a blast to hear you explain it.
