Came down from the north of Scotland 🏴 lived in Hexham. Absolutely brilliant part of England. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough. I’m back home now, but me and my soon to be wife will be honeymooning in Northumberland.
DJ Newt Are you from Hexham? I have lived in the USA since 1974, but I worked at the Beaumont Hotel in Hexham from 1972-1974. It still looks just the same....although I have lost my youth. I remember Hexham with a lot of nostalgia. Wonderful people there. I also worked part-time at Dontinoes.
+alneal100 I am from Hexham, I was at the Grammar school at the time you worked in the Beaumont. You probably served me under age drinks in Dontino's 'Luxury Late Nite Spot' :-) It is still a nightclub but called something different now..
Despite the somewhat extreme comments from Paul Davies, I happen to agree that Hexham does have some weird folk there and I did hear from a very good source that her family did have some inbred activiity going on due to the area of Hexham having large farming communities etc., so next time a Hexham native heaps scorn of the very notion I'm afraid Hexham does have an inbred problem due to it's remoteness I guess and the weirdness of the natives.

Hexham is a beautiful place, it is a traditional English village which still holds onto English culture and traditions.
