A Hotel Booking Application in Java

This hotel booking application is a personal project that I completed around the midpoint of my time on the MCIT Online course at the University of Pennsylvania. For clarity, this project is not part of the program and was not graded. However, it shows what sort of software applications I could build after completing just over 50% of MCIT.
I have received a few messages in the past months about how I would rate the MCIT program and if I would recommend it. I will do a review of the whole program in a future video. For now, I think that this application is a reasonable reflection of what skill level you are likely to be at after 4-6 months of full-time studying or about 6-9 months of part-time studying (assuming that you do not have previous software engineering or other relevant experience when you start the program). I must emphasise that the MCIT program is not explicitly designed to produce software engineers. Some students use the program to pivot into product management, data science or even technical sales roles.
The program gives you the computer science fundamentals. However, significant additional studying would be needed outside of the program to land a software engineering job now. I would probably advise not to do the MCIT program full-time unless you are confident that there will be a tech job waiting for you at a previous company that you worked at or you have close contacts working in tech.
