I scrub my hands 3 times 1 to theelbow, 2nd to the middle of the hand and 3rd just the palms and back itself with the fingers. Why would you scrub just in the direction of the elbow, the idea of the scrubing is staying enough time for killing the bacteria, you touch the hand anyway. And the gloves are put on in a way, so that they would stay clean and sterile even if you are putting them with unsterile hands.
Water is the last thing any patient worries about, so everyone who's posting shit up about water quit tripping about the damn freaking water!!! I'm a Dialysis patient and I have to wash my arm every time I go get Dialyzed and I don't give a shit how much water I waste just as long as I know I'm clean safe

i don’t think that is proper way to maintain sterility, you shouldn’t touch anything once you sterile gloves in not even your gown…hand gloves is the part you need to take care of the most.

They pay for the water, they can use it how they need to, deal with it. Way more water is wasted in the average house hold on much more futile things.
Moving your hands towards the elbow in an uncontaminated area, doesn't make your hands carry the bacteria from that area?
There is on other way to avoid it. But To reduce contamination touching and scrapings should always from hand to elbow not from elbow to hand
