Divide your march size into layers , higher the thickness of layers difficult to get zeroed, keep cav layers as minimum as possible to minimise the damage taken by range attack. mostly there will be range attack thats why it is important to work on Range attack debuffs. nowadays K40+ attack with Mounted with 6.5M march size need to debuff Mounted attack as well. And I would say better not ghost layers, just heal them after every hit(I do so). k36 500m t1s and lots of experience against weak and strong player so I know what am I saying about. You defend well💪

If the battlefield has monsters ghost on them so the enemy can't see what your ghosting

i would say prefer having preset of 5k layers rather than 1k
it costs little more to heal but it helps a bit more in defence too

He actually better than us, he just unghosts, doesn't have to get in keep and go through several screens to heal.

You have to research penultimate Research branch especially for range debuff, siege buff and after you do other stuff
Also you need to have all sub generals with Achaemenidae gear
