First impressions of NEW Amex Business Checking Account

- So I had no idea that American Express had a business checking account option or business debit card at all. This is a new thing I guess, but yeah - I didn't really know there was even a way for businesses to have a high yield savings account. Or rather this is a checking account with high yield APY. So that's really cool.

I' just signed up for the 60k Membership Rewards Points offer on the biz checking account. Got in my email inbox and applied immediately after. Good stuff... Always good to create a closer relationship with AMEX. They are a great company.!

Great Content. FYI, the business checking application is closed to new customers and there is a waitlist to join. However, if you are already an American Express Consumer or Business Card member you can apply!

With the checking, hard to swap back and forth to a savings account in seconds, as their checking account is not linked/joint

Can you access this Business checking account from the regular Amex app? I have my other cards and checking/savings accounts accessible on the main IOS app. Hoping this one can be accessed on it too. Don’t want to use two apps for one company
No it doesn’t show up on mobile 😭
It shows on the Amex Blueprint App on iOS.
I signed up in Dec 2021. (That’s when it started) the bonus was $300. The MR points connection is a new thing as the account was a cash back card in the beginning.

Yeah that’s the issue I’m having with Bench as well, it doesn’t show up to sync
I don’t think they talk to quick books. I got invoiced from a vendor with quick books and couldn’t pay it. Called Amex and was told it’s in their pipeline but not working yet. I did get the vendor’s banking info so I could just add them as an “ach payee”. After my 1st 10 transactions though I plan to run business through a charge that has a competitive welcome offer and business mgmt tool integration
So funny, I also transferred money from my Chase Bank business account to this one. Hope it works out as good as it sounds for both of us :). I'm a recent AMEX convert (aka an easy target as you said) and I'm loving it so far.

I like this account! It's super simple. You can earn Membership reward points for your debit card transaction, and it pools together with all your other points!

Chase is terrible. I was treated badly by a branch manager who refused to cash a check from my homeowners insurance. The next day I called and made a complaint about the branch manger and literally the next day they closed every single account and every single credit card. They close for personal credit cards and three business credit cards. They also closed my business and checking account and refused to release the money I had there. They would not allow me to pull out my money at a branch and said they will send me a check soon. It’s been 10 days and I have not seen anything yet. This is the worst treatment I’ve ever gotten from a bank. Stick with small banks they treat you a lot better and will take care of you very well.

Amex does not work with Zelle.
Why u don’t use debit cards for purchases?
Because debit cards don’t get me points. I’d only use a debit card if there was an extra fee to use a CC
Better purchase Protection & If Somone Got your Debit Info That's your money, With Credit Cards Its not your money & Bank Will Back you up W/ Fraud Protection
Ya, and you can't make a direct transfer from the AMEX High Yield Savings Account to the AMEX Business Checking! What is up with that???
You have to send the money from the HYSA to an external account and then to the Business Checking. 🙄

I agree with the website comment, it is not attractive, inviting or user friendly.. it feels painful when I log into Amex websites in general (business or personal).
They for some reason are asking for my personal tax returns? Very strange.
