  • In this video Sydni shows her favorite old school contamination removal product- Crystal Wash as a pre spray to assist in removing caked on brake dust and particles prior treating with Brake Buster. Its a great 1-2 punch!

    I really like the video, this helps to better see and understand your process. I am mobile and yes I did have a customer complain about the staining on his driveway due to the IRON BUSTER I used. Most of it washed away but the tires trapped some and hence his complaint.

      Rinsing the driveway down before doing Iron Buster helps to prevent staining.

    So, does this tackle traffic film as well, or is it not that kind of product? Or would mud buster do better for that? I have a feeling Crystal Wash will, but wanted to check. How about water spots?

    ok so yeah, love it, but as an acidic there must be wheels and areas to avoid? also, how is this diff from the iron buster brake buster combo im currently using thats works so well? cheaper? safer? etc...

      @PandSDetailProducts  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Its going to be safe on most surfaces but like with any product we recommend test spot first. The ones to watch as far as wheels, are those wheels you'd watch with any product. Crystal Wash is meant to dry and crystalize in some applications, so you have a great working time. Iron Buster is a phenomenal product, but is much stronger and as mentioned in the video it creates a bit more of a mess, so Crystal Wash is a great 1st line of defense for Mobile, home shop users, etc- to avoid some mess/smell issues. Think if you're in a commercial area, or a neighborhood you could get complaints. So its an alternative, allowing you to save Iron Buster for when you really need it! Crystal wash is a bit more economical price point for those who like to use a fall out remover on every car. SBG

      SBG can we find out if Crystal Wash can be (or iron buster) on magnesium wheels, one of my most special clients has a new porsche and i want to safely clean them but im not too comfortable with anything other than just brake buster 1:1
      He was pressure washing them only the first 2500 miles then not drying them, I noticed some staining (hardwater brake dust)that brake buster alone cant handle.
      Please help

    Why would you put a base on top of an acid? Ie the brake buster would neutralize the mild acid in Crystal wash.

      Ideally you would let crystal wash sit for a few minutes before neutralizing it with another cleaner from what I’ve seen on other videos .

    • @davidcummings5510
      @davidcummings5510 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      This kind of chemistry gets ridiculously complex. It's not always the same type of reaction as baking soda and vinegar resulting in a neutral solution.
      The crystal wash likely reacts immediately with the brake dust and forms a type of salt that is easier for the brake buster to remove.
      There are also conjugate acids and bases that can form, resulting in a cleaner that acts like both an acid and a base.
      Bottom line is that it seems to be working pretty effectively in the video demonstration.

    • @PandSDetailProducts
      @PandSDetailProducts  หลายเดือนก่อน

      On paint that is true, or most ideal. With the concentration sprayed on the wheels it’s gonna be a while before it dries. In this process we are using it to start the breakaway of the contaminants, making it significantly easier to clean the wheels

  • @dtna

    How is Crystal Wash similar and/or different than Iron Buster?

    • @PandSDetailProducts
      @PandSDetailProducts  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      They are both fallout removers, however different chemical make up. Crystal Wash is a mild acid. Iron Buster will bleed the iron particles into a purple foam and crystal wash will actually crystalize around the particles to aid in removal. Iron Buster is going to be stronger when needed for things like rail dust. both are solid products and have their place.
