Hit hard the following day when I saw this as I was at the game so never saw it live! 😥
Still watching in 2020! Such an emotional and amazing occasion! The Boleyn will forever be where my heart and soul will be! The London Stadium will never ever be home! Upton Park will always be home it’s horrible to think it’s all gone! The day the owners killed part of our club my whole childhood and all my memories taken away from me 😢 love the Boleyn and always will ❤️ #LongLiveTheBoleyn ❤️

59:00 got my heart when it said mr Moore has now left the stadium
It said “mr moon has now left the stadium”.
Mr moon was the lead fireman at the Boleyn ground after world war 2 and the message was signalled when a fire hazard had been resolved. The announcement was always preceded by the message:
“Will the Club secretary please note Mr Moon is in the Stadium”.
im not a west ham fan ..so I dont know tbe situation regarding west ham moving from their home...but I keep thinking ..why didnt the fans boycott the move...and say if we do move we will boycott games in the new stadium...like I said I know nothing of the situation here ...just seems very sad...if someone could fill me in
Because in the end about 70% of fans acknowledged that in order for the club to mover forward and become a bigger club, we need a bigger stadium as Boleyn has become to small.
The original plan back in the mid 2000's to convert the East Stand (Small long one) into one similar size to that of the West Stand and bring the Capacity up to 47,000 was rejected by the Council.

Gary r we were lied to. We were told the new stadium would be a proper football stadium without a running track. We were told, there would be the same atmosphere as the Boleyn. We were told the match day experience would be the same, in fact even better, due to the increased capacity. Basically we were told it was going to be a better version of Upton Park. But they were all lies...

We knew we were being lied too from day one, but it’s our team and we follow them wherever they go no matter how much we hate it! 😒

Mr Moore has now left the stadium
At the end It actually said Mr Moon has now left the stadium not Mr Moore. A regular announcement they made which always caused a bit of laughter amongst the fans. I think it related as a message to the stewards and security to indicate an incident
