The good old days of 2014/2015. Back in simpler times when it used to make more sense. Don't get me wrong I like fnaf the way it is now but can we agree than when scott decided to rewrite the story for sister location he kinda killed what was estabished by himself and the fans in term of lore. Missed the times when William was called Vincent.

What kinda happened is that Scott feeled like his original vision of the story (Dream theory) wasn't gonne accepted by the fans. So instead of fnaf4 being the final chapter, he started working on a different story builded with what he had already set up: the one we got now
@@quit512 pretty much. back then he was always prepresented in purple because this is the color used in old arcade games to indicate that something or someone was always hiding in shadows, in reality he wasn't truly purple untill fnaf 4, and at no point did Purple guy knew the kids he killed haunting the aimatronics to get back at him, there where some speculations that he was suspecting something was wrong with them, thus why he decided to destroy them in the end but there was no real explanation. The purple guy was just that: a guy, a psycopath who used to work at freddy's at some point and killed childrens only to get karma for his sins at the end. there was no motives, no particular reasons as to why he did it and it was perfect, people didn't knew who he was, what he wanted and this is what made him so famous among fans in the first place, people always get scared of what they don't know so each of his disturbing apperances in fnaf2 and 3's minigames used to scare the crap out of people, me included.
