- We did this Skepta reaction on a live stream so it has a little different vibe to it because we read comments during it. Overall, we really like the sound of That's Not Me. This grime flavor is fire. Skepta and JME killed this track too. They had a good message and a nice grime flow to go with it.

The person who said this is a drill beat has half a brain cell. This is a pure grime beat
IMO Drill is begining to sound like classic GRIME: To me, M1llionz - B1llionz sounds like Ruff Sqwad - Together. Have a listen to them back to back, identical chord progression, same percussion, similar hi hat syncopation and the way the vocal sample is chopped. One is seen as Drill and the other as CLASSIC GRIME. Give them a listen side by side.
@@ProductOfAnEmpire nah most drill sounds like shite compared to grime don't have ain't likeness, just bait swinging 808s and shitty soundin hihats
Nah fr lool guy is buggin
@@ProductOfAnEmpire I'm not trying to diss drill but your comparisons are just false, you should get your hearing checked.
who said this is a drill beat 😂😂😂
Whoever said this is drill is 100 per cent a child and not from the grime era, definitely grime
This is a CLASSIC grime beat. By Skepta.
Youth of today know fuck all
Bro grime needs to come back and take over the scene man they fucked it up by bringing drill
@Salyeu a voice to what, ranting about how they shanked and killed their victims, grime was humble but hard at the same time, youtes today are tapped my friend
I'm 17 and know this is a grime beat. Although I feel like I still caught the grime era considering this song came out 2014
Who ever said this was a drill beat needs good beating 😂 this is griiiiiiiiiiiiime
To God! 😂😂😂
The person who said that this is a drill beat knows nothing about beats. This is a proper grime beat like the people said.
Would love to see you both react to more grime artists like: Wiley, JME, Frisco etc. Wiley would be a good start since he's the godfather of it all. skepta and jme have been featured on his songs too.
I hate how every reactor gets miss-informed, taken down the wrong path or just end up snakeing the UK and just do US reactions
Some of these commentors man lol
Also D Double
This is grime !!! who ever said drill is probally 12 and doresnt know about the grime era
Trust me they don’t even know that drill is like a new era grime but still not exactly the same
@@clued9761 There are even some Drill songs that sound just like Grime... Like M1llionz - Billionz and Ruff Sqwad - Together. Drill is slowly evolving into Grime.
@@ProductOfAnEmpire Together sounds like drill? I don’t hear that at all
@@bait1s ...it sounds like M1llionz - B1llionz, or should I say M1llionz - B1llionz sounds like Ruff Sqwad - Together. Have a listen to them back to back, identical chord progression, same percussion, similar hi hat syncopation and the chopping of the vocal sample. One is seen as Drill and the other as CLASSIC GRIME. Give them a listen side by side.
Skepta - it ain't safe🔥🔥
Skepta - Shutdown
Jme - Man dont care
All of these^^^

@@H66699 thanks for your input H
@@H66699 you're moist
Ace hood flow.
Whoever said this is drill must be 5. This is OG grime. This track uses Wileys sounds/style, also known as Eski Beat.
60 minutes live jme lethal b Tempa t dizzee rascal skepta plz it's not 60 mins long only 20 mins but well worth the reaction
And general levi to finish it off is 🔥🔥🔥🔥
That's some of the best live grime I've ever heard. Probably listen to it every week
That is an old skool Grime anthem.
Whoever said this is Drill don't know the UK scene..
Can y'all PLEASE do some more JME reactions now, you guys will like him! He 'reps for the nerds' and is not really too concerned about making bangers, but he has some sick rhymes and a unique style.
Check out Man Don't Care ft Giggs for a big reaction, 96 Bars of my Life for some JME backstory, ISSMAD for crazy crazy rhyming schemes that you won't find anywhere else.
Love your reaction dynamics, you guys really hone in on different parts of the music and it's great! Keep it up :)
This isn't a drill beat. This is old school Grime. This is the music that made JME and Skepta famous.
GRIME!!!: Been saying from your very FIRST reactions... GRIME is the cornerstone of UK Rap, a true BRITISH ARTFORM at its best...
"Ghetts ft Kano, Chip & Mercston - BBC1XTRA Freestyle..." 4 legends on one GRIME set. Remember GRIME sets are like lyrical hot potato, Double Dutch with bars... the DJ is swinging the musical rope and the MCs gotta skip on the riddim back2back with bars. As one MC spits the other listens out to the changing beat and chooses from his head full of rhymes the lyric which will best match. If he lands 'on beat' with a perfect lyric that's like sticking a landing in gymnastics and the DJ wheels up the track like in Reggae Dancehall.
Another great GRIME Set to add to your list is "Studio 82 with Big Zuu, Eyez and Manga", a brilliant example of GRIME culture.
K = thousand lol quid just means pounds
20k - 20,000
20quid - £20
Also 2 ton = £200
Or 2g = £2000 as well
Probs depends on where in the UK you’re from but that’s the case round where I am.
great reaction guys. i watch so many americans reacting to the UK scene, but this is by far my fave channel. lets go!
Hey lex... it’s good to see you getting all knowledgeable around this genre of rap. In the beginning you struggled and now you’re getting the flows and the language. Really enjoy your videos. You’ll be rapping soon ha 👍
You should do JME Man dont care. Feat Giggs. Another Grime song.
Or the Thats not me remix feat D Double E, President T and JME
Great Grime tune and great at any party. Great reaction guys.
Oh great, this song gets stuck in my head all day! 🔥
Lex, nice catch with the 2 Pac - immortal bar analysis 💯
Deffo not drill beat.
Grime is 10 years older.
Your source needs
Educate himself!
Seriously.
Definitely listen to some of JME stuff this genre of rap in the U.K is called grime
Skepta is a legend he’s opened the door for a our whole industry
JME ft GIGGS- man don’t care ! Always been a absolute banger
This is the sound of the UK and typical OG grime.. This sound is from where UK music has grown from
This and bassline (which is basically northern grime) is where modern UK hip hop originated
Chip and Ice kid on Tim Westwood. Old school classic, these two were 16 at the time too!
This is Grime beat. Greatings from 🇵🇱
This video won the best video at the MOBO awards and Skepta revealed to the crowd it only cost £80 to make!
This is old school Grime. I grew up on this. Grime existed waaaay before Drill was even on the map. There is badically no similarity between a proper Grime track and a Drill song.
Drill beat 😂 wtf sending the info lol as grime as u can get this beat
To answer Lex's question the videos in the background are from Skepta and JME's old videos. This whole song, the set and the green screen video is basically paying homage to old school Grime.
In normal everyday English quid means pound, in the criminal world it can also mean grand.
Grime pave the way for these new drill artists
Good reaction
Skepta- It ain’t safe
Nice reaction, you should listen to JME and Giggs “Man don’t Care “ absolute classic

Please react to JME - INTEGRITY ( one of the best freestyles from jme ) 🔥🔥. #couchgang
JME - Integrity!!!!!!!
You gotta do the all start remix
And if you want just vocals lookup mix- hoist the colors (parrots of the Caribbean cover)
Skepta - Insomnia Album Ft Chip and Young Adz is one of the best albums to of been released in the last 10 years 🔥
I agree 👍 💯
I believe the background video is from an old freestyle on risky roadz but I could be wrong
In the UK a quid is literally £1. So 20 quid is £20.
This just popped up in my timeline. Miss the days of these reactions, what with the what’s happened in the last few months with your channel.
Ocean Wisdom - Don! I promise you now, you’ll be going crazy for this song
100% Grime!
Listen to skepta - Westwood freestyle legendary freestyle classic grime!
You should go down Hopsin rabbit hole. Pots and pans was the first one he made and NO shame is F up story with that album to start for the first song.
And L mind of Hopsin seriesis good
Big fan ! Please react to Skepta - Energy (Ft Wizkid) 👍👍👍
Should react to the Remix of this💯
It's a subgenre of Grime called Eskibeat.
This ain't a drill beat tho, it's an authentic grime beat. It was probably made before drill was a thought lol
Skepta and jme are real brothers
Who ever said this is drill is under the age if 25 this is GRIME WHEN THIS DROPPED DRILL WAS NOT EVEN A THING IN UK BIGFACT
This remixed with intoxicated is fire and is played in most UK clubs, something to check out in ya spare time
@Emmett Nicholl word
Quid is a dollar or a pound.
K means it's a grand... It snot a drill beat who ever said that knows nothing. It's a grime beat wiley created grime. Beat is called iglooo

Sorry guys, facts are incorrectly given, I'm 2:13 in, the production is a Grime riddim, a Grime beat, not drill. Drill wasn't even around when this song released. This riddim must of came out 2013s possibly earlier.
On road freestyles. By 2 badda. Uk man
Akala fitb, French the kid, m huncho ,any mad about bars 💪
A quid is a quid
Wow thats a nice drill beat
A quid is a pound lol
do dizzee rascal - fire in the booth
Shutdown - Skepta
Drill... 🤣🤣🤣 nah, this is GRIME.
Even if you don't understand the difference, listen to a load of Grime, then a load of Drill, and the differences are obvious.
DO MORE GRIME! 🤟
Wiley - What do you call it (Grime) 🙌
By the way, JME and Skepta are brothers
Definitely grime
Quid does not mean thousand
and this is grime drill didn't exist when this was made 😂
E MAJOR - anyone who understands that understands grime
This is NOT a drill beat. Skepta in the UK at this time was a Grime artist. Grime was the big music genre before drill came along. I’m sure you can tell this beat is not similar to the drill beats you may have heard before.
This is a grime beat, not a drill beat. Have to respect the father of Grime correctly.
Still a great vid 👍 Skeppy is a GOAT tho
This is a grime beat and grime flow
Mic righteous 3rd degree
A quid is one pound
This ain’t drill this is GRIME
Check out Pete and bad plugged in ull be surprised
A quid in the UK is 1 pound 20 quid 20 pound we call it a "score"
Pure grime beat. Made by skepta himself, i think
I thought jme made all Skeptas beats
who the hell uses quid to mean a grand? if anyone in the north said they dropped 1 quid on a phone, they'd wonder how bad it was as its basically saying £1
quid is pounds, so 20 quid is £20
Jme was rapping before skepta too
A quid is a pound, traders might use quid in relation to thousands but that’s not the real meaning
This is as grime as grime gets. JME is A DONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN.
A quid I can also mean a grand ??? Sounds like some div got rinsed in pound land.
Drill beat ??? Yeah sure it is :D , and NWA were a boy band .
A quid is £1, 20 quid is £20. Whoever is telling you it’s a K is doing you wrong
A quid is £1
Just so you know it’s not a drill beat at all it’s grime… some people just talk cap for clout
