I think they just need time away from each other, not a divorce. Missing each other could be the catalyst to bring them back together *BUT* ...maybe they have simply outgrown each other. Did they get married too soon? There's a lot to consider here. Showering her with gifts is not showing love...unless their marriage is based on materialism.
I think they've just outgrown each other. One of the big mistakes we make when we get married to someone is thinking that person will stay the same forever. But people evolve. Everyday. To various degrees with consideration of the changes in social status, financial stability, age and maturity, era, friendship and surroundings.. Basically external influences. I guess all people, not just married couples, sometimes forget who they are before the external factors started to change and affect them. Especially when the changes are as significant as those in a life of a celebrity.
