Hi Mr. Ryan, First of all, thank you very much for your video, it was indeed very much helpful. However, one thing that I believe would be beneficial for all IB students is that you create a couple of videos regarding the calculations involved in the IA, such as standard deviation, uncertainties, etc. I honestly don't believe that all students have a strong understanding of these concepts, and it would be greatly advantageous for the majority of IB science students to have a clear explanation of the significance of such calculations within our IAs as well as some solid guidelines regarding their application to the different experiments and ideas. Again, thank you for your videos
!! allow me to say that you are exaggerating if you think that this is a level 7 IA.. not even close. you say that when we place the liver tissue in the enzyme solution a gas is evolved. why? 'because of the nature of the experiment' what a reasonable answer for the most important part. no before that, you need to specify the dilution enzyme, and does the syringe tube looks like a burette to you. and what comes after method is the real deal. wtf, IA is not a grade 9 lab report !
I took the base of this IA by changed liver tissues into muscle tissue (skeletal). I used protease which is a type of digestive enzyme but when I performed the experiment, there was no change in gas pressure as I changed the concentration of the solution. Therefore, I do not have any data. Could you help me with this part, for example how much gas pressure should be produced at 0 M, 0.1 M, 0.2 M if the air pressure is at 101.83.
Hi, I just started my 2nd year of the IBD and I need help, my experiment got cancelled due to corona and now I have to perform a database IA because the situation in my country is really serious, I have no good samples and I'm in trouble. If someone could help me I'd be thankful.
Hi I'm in the same situation. What I've been doing is looking at biology extended essays. Because I couldn't find example research ias (I'm not fully sure the exist). I can send you the links to them.
Hello, I have to conduct an experiment for my Biology IA and I was thinking it should be about Caffeine. I am a Caffeine intolerant and I would want to make some experiment of "how to be more caffeine tolerant" and to see if its possible. Perhaps I could measure my heart/ pulse rate for 3-4 days and see if there is any difference. Now I really need to now if this idea would work for the Biology IA and I would really appreciate if any of you could suggest how I should write the research question for this experiment in this case. The thing is I have to conduct this experiment on my own, so please if you have any other suggestions or ideas that I could possible do without the help of an actual Lab, I would truly be thankful for it. ( research question suggestions about any "human physiology" topic might help me in the case )
Really? Even if I use Human consent forms ( do I have to use consent form even if Im using the experiment on myself?)? But other students have tested related things on themselves...Do you have any ideas then (outside a Lab)?

yes please...standard deviation!
what about the data, analysis, evaluation and conclusion?
1h45 to go...
I love this guy.

your comment is utter shit mate poorly written but I agree this video was bad too
Liver tissue cubes? Welp-time to bring out the dark web, bois.
What about the materials list
2 hours???? it took me 10 hours to do my last ia, am i just slow or what 😂
we all slow

+knaohoma it's a secret
+knaohoma the IA is still vaalid even if the experiment failed

You cant test on humans especially not yourself it doesn't follow the IB ethical guidelines

Do extraction of caffeine from tea, one of my friend is doing that
@@kashmerykame can you explain more about the topic and experiment?
no because ur teacher and other school's teacher grade way too easy compared to a few others
