This the fact that japanese adult prefer easy reading slice of life rather than dark fantasy cuz they hardworking people.

Denji drank some of Power's blood a long time ago, which he used in the fight. how is that power of friendship?, it's literally logical, you're just making stuff up at this point. and we also saw that the chainsaw devil could regenerate himself completely from the heart in his fight with Makima. all of these factors allowed Denji to get the hit on Makima. just accept it, Denji outsmarted Makima, and that's why he won. people like you call anything plot armor when you just don't pay attention to the story.

Just some characters that their fate was not confirmed: 1) Angel Devil- Aki’s name was on the Gun Devil list but Angel’s was not. Could still be alive 2) Quanxi and Reze- Both were at the final fight being controlled by Makima. All of the hybrids fates are unconfirmed. Also they are way too much of major characters to kill both of them off-screen. 3) Prinz- We saw her again towards the end, she isn’t dead (unless I am misremembering) 4) Dead characters such as Tendo, Kurose and Akane were seen on Makima’s chain. They could have been revived or it could of just been their bodies. However I don’t know why devils would stay contracted with dead bodies so maybe they were revived just for Makima to use their contracts to fight the gun devil

If i remember correctly when denji is warned about the gun devil coming to the apartment it is hinted that makima tried to fight the gun devil but didnt manage to stop him and the gun devil possesed akis body, also the reason angel is said to be killed by makima is prob because when he realized makima was an evil person he tried to attack her but she ended up fighting back easily

(spoilers for literally the whole manga incoming) It just makes it realistic to me. From the get-go they tell you that people, especially devil hunters, die every Wednesday and you don't take it so seriously until everyone actually starts dying. Then you don't understand why devils are so afraid of the Darkness devil (and primal devils in general) until it kills almost all of them from one move. Then they make you understand that Makima is frightening and the "mastermind" behind it all, because she doesn't have scrupulous and carefully controlled who had to die and who she needed to use to her advantage all along. Santa Claus, Reze, Quanxi, Violence, Beam and those American brothers, every death showcases the obvious difference of power dynamic between hybrids, fiends, devils and humans. It's almost like the death contributes to the worldbuilding. Gun devil killed millions of people and so the news stopped covering gun violence, this helps the reader comprehend how both society adapted to this deathly creatures and how devils barged uninvited and ended up causing so much massacre that it eventually became a domesticity. It settles the type of universe Fujimoto is going for. And with all the dying and gore, Fujimoto still managed to convey certain deaths as specially meaningful. Like Aki's, because it was the first time Denji felt such a human pain after becoming a powerful hybrid. Or Angel's, who longed for death but wanted to save Aki and it incredibly backfired. He found his ending in a beach like he did his beginning. I mean, Arai was there for 2 or 3 chapters but his death left me rattled and made me understand and sympathize with Kobeni's character more. If anything it's shock effect *mostly* well done, in my personal very humble opinion. Maybe you might have more problems with the pacing of it than how they died (? I don't have any problems with the pacing but a lot of people think things were too rushed and that might contribute to the underwhelming feeling Ps: I can't believe I spent 10 minutes writing a comment to defend Fujimoto's author genocide tendencies lol
The fact main trio didn't kill major character through stories. Yes denji kill his father but it happen in the past not in the main story. All denji kills is also forced, he has no intend to kill his father, aki or makima.
I'm pretty sure he intended to kill Makima, Hell he even ate her afterwards so that the Control Devil wouldn't exist anymore due to CSM's ability. (That failed tho)
No confirmation, no evidence. Denji killed them twice when they were mine controlled by Makima. She, Quanxi, and Denji are all immortal. The thing is, how would they return? I have stronger belief that the original Power will return before Reze and Quanxi

devils become fiends when they possess a human corpse so in order for the gun devil to become a gun fiend in aki's body, aki must have died first

Then you don't understand why devils are so afraid of the Darkness devil (and primal devils in general) until it kills almost all of them from one move. Then they make you understand that Makima is frightening and the "mastermind" behind it all, because she doesn't have scrupulous and carefully controlled who had to die and who she needed to use to her advantage all along. Santa Claus, Reze, Quanxi, Violence, Beam and those American brothers, every death showcases the obvious difference of power dynamic between hybrids, fiends, devils and humans. It's almost like the death contributes to the worldbuilding. Gun devil killed millions of people and so the news stopped covering gun violence, this helps the reader comprehend how both society adapted to this deathly creatures and how devils barged uninvited and ended up causing so much massacre that it eventually became a domesticity. It settles the type of universe Fujimoto is going for.
And with all the dying and gore, Fujimoto still managed to convey certain deaths as specially meaningful. Like Aki's, because it was the first time Denji felt such a human pain after becoming a powerful hybrid. Or Angel's, who longed for death but wanted to save Aki and it incredibly backfired. He found his ending in a beach like he did his beginning.
I mean, Arai was there for 2 or 3 chapters but his death left me rattled and made me understand and sympathize with Kobeni's character more. If anything it's shock effect *mostly* well done, in my personal very humble opinion.
Maybe you might have more problems with the pacing of it than how they died (? I don't have any problems with the pacing but a lot of people think things were too rushed and that might contribute to the underwhelming feeling

The fact main trio didn't kill major character through stories. Yes denji kill his father but it happen in the past not in the main story. All denji kills is also forced, he has no intend to kill his father, aki or makima.
I'm pretty sure he intended to kill Makima, Hell he even ate her afterwards so that the Control Devil wouldn't exist anymore due to CSM's ability. (That failed tho)

No confirmation, no evidence. Denji killed them twice when they were mine controlled by Makima. She, Quanxi, and Denji are all immortal. The thing is, how would they return? I have stronger belief that the original Power will return before Reze and Quanxi
