This is our full review on the Cubing Classroom MF3RS3. This new speedcube comes in two versions, magnetic and non-magnetic, and is one of the recent cubes that gained competitive traction despite the economy price. The MF3RS3 is quick and relatively blocky, and is growing in popularity between beginners and pros alike.
Note: the averages of 100 we did for the review were done independently of the solves shown in the video. We filmed more solves for the video after the averages of 100, which explains why Damian had a single better than the listed "best time" on his average of 100. Many thanks for adding AO100's. It would be great to see a welch's t-test comparing the solve times, to see the likelihood that this difference would occur by chance in two tests of the same cube. The effect size here seems pretty small, close to 1/2 standard deviation for all testers. Also, did all testers run the tests of their mains before the tests of the RS3, or were they interleaved? The sample size of 100 is very solid, though.

I think that the statistic works very well.. it shows how the cube compares to your mains and if our mains are the same then ours too.. great video overall 👍🏼👍🏼
on the downside it gives more power to the myth that cube hardware matters significantly. Like from this video, a 30s solver might think the gan X makes you 1 second faster, when its really the fact that the cubicle people are used to using the X which accounts for the difference

Just a note that 2 of the solvers were using the 356 X. Which tends to retail between $50-$60.

I have a question about the yuxin huanglong m, since im getting it soon and still havent found an answer. What do the alternative springs in the box do to the cube?
Cubing Burger they change the feel. lighter springs make it flimsy and the stronger springs make it too tight. i recommend the stock springs tho

I have a budget of $20 or less. What magnetic cube do you think I should buy? I am debating between the rs2 m, the little magic m, and the rs3 m. I like a controllable cube that I won't overshoot on but it is not too slow.

I ordered gravitas and dignitas for the tracks but I'm not an expert...
I'm waiting for dignitas and gravitas, but for the moment I cleaned my cubes and... I'm just waiting and I don't want to clean them another time, and I don't want to damage them by using them without being lubed, I'm stuck!
I'm late, but 30k, 50k, weight 5, lubicle standard can be used both for the core and pieces. This is because silicone-based lubricants do not rust/ damage the hardware. It is recommended to use thicker silicone on the hardware because it lasts longer.
It also gives a different feeling on the pieces depending on the thickness
In my very first scramble after buying it, a corner twisted and since I hadn't cubed for 2 months, I was sad that I forgot how to solve it.
Until I realised it was just one corner -.-
Also, the edge piece popped twice today(just the second day I've gotten it)

Eh. It's preference. For some, yes. Some will definitely prefer a little magic m or mf3rs2 m. Others will prefer the mgc, or kylin v2. For me, I don't think it's great. I like it, but its far from perfect. Mine also came bone dry and super tight out of the box. It took a good bit of setup to make it usable.
@@ernestryles what about the new factory magnetix mf3rs3m. Im thinking on buying that or the yj mgc version 1 i have heard bad things about the new version.

Is it just me who realize that Phil's main is the dayan tengyun M I mean come on
The fact the the people that are using the Gan X (62$) as they’re main times only dropped by 30 milliseconds when using a budget puzzle (16$) is proof that Gan is just ripping people off. The customization is nice but after you have it set to your preferences that extra 45$ just sits on a box on your shelf.
All the rs cubes save a lot of money on r&d. That's why they are so much cheaper than other flagships
