This movie was so HUGE. The film was on all the magazine covers. Everyone was talking about it along with national conversations on talk shows and news programs. It's actually the 16th highest grossing film for the entire 80's decade.
As someone who dealt with forms of depression that led to self-harm, the wrist slashing scene actually disturbed me more than the boiled rabbit. If I ever watch the film I always end up turning the volume down or looking away when that scene comes up. Its one of the reasons I can appreciate that Glen Close was so dead set against changing the film's original ending which had Alex kill herself, as her research had shown people with her form of mental illness are unlikely to be violent towards others and are more likely to resort to self harm instead
I'm so sorry you went through depression. As someone who's dealt within herself, I empathize. Glen Close was soo good in this - she embodied Alex. What a talent!
Glenn Close put a lot into this character. Her backstory was of a woman who had suffered childhood abuse. She didn't like the Hollywood way the character was killed. I think they had a shot a better ending, where Alex committed suicide.
2 actors that I think are "natural" actors in my lifetime are Al Pacino and Michael Douglas. By "natural," I mean very believable. I have been suggesting this movie to reactors but they only listen to patreon polls, not TH-cam suggestions. Anyway, so happy you reacted to this. Another, great movie (although you won't react to it) is 1981 NIGHTHAWKS, starring Sylvester Stallone and Rutger Hauer. I absolutely love Rutger as a bad guy.
Great reaction! This is the first time I've seen anyone react to this movie! Lol. This movie is so scary! Lol Keep up the good work! Keep 'em coming! Bravo 🙏🤘👏👏👏👏😊
I love this movie. It was so controversial at the time because there was an opinion that the movie was misogynist by having a high-powered career woman be an obsessive stalker. However, I think the movie does an excellent job of showing her point of view and show what a scumbag Dan is. I always feel very sad for Alex throughout because she was right about Dan’s selfishness about the affair, and that she was mentally ill , probably unmedicated because the 80s, just pushed her completely over the edge. But on top of that, just a fun exciting watch every time.
One of my favorite movie styles is thrillers this is one of those movies that I feel no one should ever miss it is just so brilliantly done the acting and everything in every sense. I somehow was able to watch the violent scenes all scenes were done meticulously to me, like a work of art and got me to appreciate film. I do not believe that these are normal consequences that anyone deserves. And Dan didn't know she was crazy either. He is very much a victim
Thankyou for an "Alexxa Reigns" reaction to one of my favorite movies! Watch "Play Misty for Me" it's the OG of obessed women. It's an oldie but a goodie. Clint Eastwoods directory debut circa 1971. 😅😮
Nice reaction. The ending is not the original ending. The first ending had Alex commit suicide and frame Dan for her murder. They did advance screening with audiences and it didn’t work. So they called the actors back and filmed this ending.
Do you understand women’s reproductive health? Alex said she thought she couldn’t get pregnant. That doesn’t make it a medical fact. Even if someone is told they’re not capable of pregnancy, sometimes they end up having healthy babies.
Saw this in high school when it came out. Once with a friend and then one more time with this guy who I was very close friends with at the time. He grew up to be a pastor. This movie probably scarred him lol.

One of the best thrillers!! Love it! Great acting and never get tired of it!
I saw this on the theater when it first came out. It was a wild ride!
Jagged Edge is another classic thriller with Glen Close. Great actress.
Adding it to my list!
Yes, that's a good one, too.
I've never seen a bad performance from Glenn Close. Loved "Jagged Edge", "The Big Chill", "Dangerous Liaisons" to name a few.

"Are you discrete?"
Aaaand that's where you should have got up and left, sir

You should react to the movie Misery w Kathy Bates I think you’d enjoy that if you liked this

Thank you! That movie is definitely a scary one!
Glenn's first of numerous Oscar nominated performances that she did not win.
Yup.
It was her fourth nomination!
@@meropale Fatal Attraction was her first.

Imagine trying to remain in that house 😬
No way I could!! Nope! We moving tomorrow! 😂
Every married man's worst nightmare. Great reaction once again, Alexxa! Thank you!
There’s a cure for this. It’s called faithfulness. Married men wouldn’t have to worry about these nightmares at all.

Anne Archer ❤❤❤
@@dlove032002 She is soooo beautiful!
Alex was definitely faking her pregnancy because she said that after her miscarriage she couldn’t have anymore babies so that wouldn’t make any sense.
