    Hey Semio! Congratulations on your journey! Even if I am 1 year late! - I am a South African based in DC and I about to launch a medical apparel that would be for personalized medical apparel. Let me know if we can connect to see how I can be a supplier for the residences and interns in your program

    Wow! Congratulations on the milestone and thanks for sharing. This has helped me 🤝. I just have one big question, did you do everything while outside the US?

    • @Its_semio
      @Its_semio  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you!! ☺️ & Yesss I did! My tele-rotations were online and my interviews were online as well. The only exam I took in the US was Step 3. But that was after I applied (and it’s not a compulsory exam before residency).

    Hey Samira, congratulations on the match!
    2 questions though: How much time would you invest into learning for step 1 after it is p/f, would you recommend to focus more on step 2 CK now? Is it possible during med school or do you recommend learning for step 1 or step 2 ck after finishing med school?

      Thank youu!! It really depends on your prior knowledge. I would advice to do one round of uworld and one NBME/UWSA and then decide! (Or you can do a NBME from the start and see you basic knowledge). Step 2CK has some step 1 questions and you also need some prior knowledge from step 1 to answer the step 2Ck questions. So i would say focus on Step 1 first. Its 100% possible to do step 1 and step 2ck during med school. Its important to figure out first how much time you have left during med school to study for the USMLE’s. If you have some time left, go for it🤗 (otherwise there’s no shame to do it after med school!).

      Most universities teach Medicine in Dutch! However, I know one uni who teaches the first 3 years in English (the international track at Maastricht University) 😊
