This dude is so right about drafting talent over need. My early foray into Dynasty I made a huge error is drafting..gulp, Daniel Thomas over AJ Green and Julio Jones. Now that I've been doing this for some time, and have won numerous championships, I can assure you it is because I've been drafting talent over need. That early mistake was a great lesson. Don't ever draft for need unless that need is matched by the talent board.
Here’s an example for you…rebuild year..have #1&2 overall..Kyler Murray and Joe burrow are my qbs.. roster 1qb 2rb 2wr 3flex 1te.. feel like I have to go MVH and nabers and leave Caleb

I would have definitely taken Odunze over Daniels - especially to pair him with Williams. I guess if you're in a Super flex league you can justify it a bit.

I had multiple 1st rd picks this year through trades. I was happy with JD5 at the 6th pick. But I traded down to 9. And that allowed me to pick up an additional '25 first rd pick. That gives me 5 first rounders in '25. I targeted qb, wr this year. Next year I should be able to find 2 rbs. 1 pick is going to be in the top 2. The next 3 project in the 3-7 range( with a shot at being the top overall do to the league rules). And the final picks projects to be late in that 10-12 range

We haven’t drafted yet but I have Hurts, Herbert, and Kyler in a 12-team SF where we also added a .5 PPC this season. I made two deals about a week and a half before the NFL draft where I gave up London and the 1.09 for the 1.05 and Montgomery and then gave up the 2.02, 3.11, and a 25 2nd for DJ Moore. I needed a reliable RB2(I have Gibbs as well) going into next season but between both deals, I essentially swapped London for DJM, moved up to the 1.05 from 1.09, got Montgomery and only had to move the 2.02, 3.11 and a 25 2nd to do so. Actually, point 1 is from a contenders lens to say don’t draft just to fill a starting lineup point 2 is from a rebuilders lens saying to take players as appreciable assets point 3 is understanding that while we have conviction, just because one values keon coleman at the 1.04 does not mean he should be taken as the 1.04 if his market value is closer to the 2.02. The point is if you value him there, you can still get tons of shares by trading down to the 1.10/1.11 and picking up extra value in moving down rather than forfeiting it to “get your guy” Point 4 is overvaluing pure landing spot (ie chiefs/bills/cowboys etc), whereas point 5 is understanding a players schematic fit as being great for the offense they’re selected to (strong zone runner landing in a shanahan scheme etc)
I feel like when you claim you made absolutely ridiculous trades you should have to add screenshots to prove that you're not lying. Nobody that I've ever played with would trade a future 2nd just to move up 1 spot in a rookie draft, ESPECIALLY just for a receiver unless it was MHJ. The idea that you got a future 2nd just to go from QJ to Flowers can only mean 1 of 2 things...you're either lying or you play with idiots.

Brutal league dynamic, make sure you're being pro-active to start those talks as opposed to just putting shit on the trade block though
I’ll invite you to some
@@FantasyStockExchange I'm pretty proactive. Drives me crazy some of the shit trades I've been offered. I try and even look at other teams needs when making an offer. But I just have some leagues where folks will not trade. Maybe because it's dynasty and bad trades can haunt you for years.
@@Theodoredarling Thanks
The standard is wrong every season. I do know more. 😂
First 3 are the exact same advice reworded
Advice #4 and 5 are literally opposing points…fit is the same as landing spot
Actually, point 1 is from a contenders lens to say don’t draft just to fill a starting lineup
point 2 is from a rebuilders lens saying to take players as appreciable assets
point 3 is understanding that while we have conviction, just because one values keon coleman at the 1.04 does not mean he should be taken as the 1.04 if his market value is closer to the 2.02. The point is if you value him there, you can still get tons of shares by trading down to the 1.10/1.11 and picking up extra value in moving down rather than forfeiting it to “get your guy”
Point 4 is overvaluing pure landing spot (ie chiefs/bills/cowboys etc), whereas point 5 is understanding a players schematic fit as being great for the offense they’re selected to (strong zone runner landing in a shanahan scheme etc)
If your league mates are buffoons, get a better league to play in
Or play in more leagues and dominate the buffoons
I feel like when you claim you made absolutely ridiculous trades you should have to add screenshots to prove that you're not lying. Nobody that I've ever played with would trade a future 2nd just to move up 1 spot in a rookie draft, ESPECIALLY just for a receiver unless it was MHJ. The idea that you got a future 2nd just to go from QJ to Flowers can only mean 1 of 2 things...you're either lying or you play with idiots.
What’s ur Twitter I’ll dm u the trade if you don’t believe me, quit being a Debby downer in the comments
@FantasyStockExchange I don't have a twatter and I'm pretty sure it's X now. But I love your videos don't get it twisted. Just can't stand the "I traded for this..." and it's some ridiculous value that never happens.
@shamegames5290 okay well on “my own dynasty decisions” a video I did last year I believe I discussed it in that video, I think Jalen Hurts was on the thumbnail and it occurred in the FSE listener dynasty league - I’ll keep that feedback in mind, normally I would’ve gone back and pulled screenshots, must’ve forgot this time
