You have fallen into the vortex of Angelina Jordan who arguably brings the most confident, versatile, seemingly effortless, and fearless vocal artistry found today (whether measured across artists, genres, or decades). You may think this an exaggeration but listen to a few more of her many performances (170+ covers plus original songs - all on YT) and you will see! Well, welcome to the AJ Rabbit Hole! You are going to be bombarded by her fans called Angels that will fill you in on this music prodigy with an old soul from Norway. She's basically been a star since she was 7 years old. First and foremost, she is a jazz singer but has the ability to sing any genre. She also does all of her own musical arrangements. Even though she has been compared by many to Amy Winehouse, her major influence is Billie Holiday. Other influences are Dinah Washington, Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Etta James, Whitney Houston, and Adele to name a few. Her love of jazz came from her grandmother playing jazz music around her when she was young. In 2014, she entered at age 7 and won Norway's Got Talent at the age of 8. With her new found fame, she used it to appear on many shows from abroad and help raise millions for the less fortunate children around the world. At age 13, she was invited to participate on America's Got Talent: The Champions in 2020. She shocked the audience and the judges with her rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. She received a standing ovation from all and got the Golden Buzzer from judge Heidi Klum to go straight to the Finals. Her performance went viral and even the group Queen responded on Twitter by saying, "Wow, what a rendition!" For Queen to respond to someone covering one of their songs is quite a feat since they rarely react to anyone. She did not win, but her fan base grew and expanded her popularity.
Now 19 years old, living in Los Angeles, and currently signed with Republic Records, whose clients include Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, and Drake to name a few. Her family and Republic Records had agreed not to heavily promote her just yet so she can live as normal of a life as possible and finish her schooling. From what we know, she is finally done with school. She had a single that came out May 5th called Love Don't Let Me Go, a new EP called Old Enough that came out Friday, July 21st, 2023, a newly released video of her new song called Now I'm The Fool, and a new album of original music which will be coming out some time this year. Angelina released her new single, Our Time, and is fantastic! She returned back to Norway and performed at a number of sold out concerts in which fans from around the world came to see her. On September 22, 2023, Angelina had her first U.S. concert that sold out in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. On December 11, 2023, she was asked to come back and perform at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert. She first performed at this prestigious event in 2014 when she was 8. On Feb.29th, 2024, she performed 2 shows on one night at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino. A film crew followed her and created a documentary of her called Angelina Jordan: 10 Years In The Making which premiered on her official TH-cam channel on March 29th, 2024. Currently, she is working with 3 time Grammy winner songwriter/producer Toby Gad creating new original music for her to sing. When she was 6 years old, she was traveling with her family in Iran where she met a poor shoeless girl in the streets that was about her age. She made money by weighing people. After speaking with her for a few minutes, Angelina noticed the scars on the girl's feet and asked the girl what her dream is. The girl said she wanted to be a doctor but she couldn't because she had to make money for her family. Angelina did what came natural to her, she gave the little girl her shoes and told her to not give up on her dreams. The girl then asked Angelina what her dreams were, Angelina answered that she wanted to sing for the whole world, and the girl said she would pray for her success. Norwegian born Angelina Jordan began singing at the age of one and a half, and by age three was listening to jazz and classics legends on repeat. Why does Angelina sing barefoot? The answer may makes many people emotional. It is related to a promise she made to herself and to the world when she was only 6 years old. She was traveling in the Middle East with her mom and grandmother and they came across a young orphan girl with no shoes and scarred feet. Angelina gave the girl her own favorite shoes. Angelina ask the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and she said a doctor, but she could not because she had to take care of her siblings. She asked Angelina the same question and Angelina said I want to sing for the world. The young girl said she would pray for Angelina. Since then, Angelia has forever performed barefoot as a reminder of all those less fortunate. At age 9 she wrote a book about this experience, Between two Hearts, becoming the youngest ever published author in Norway. She also has helped raise millions for children's charities. She even stated at 8 years old that she would be donating her winnings from Norway's Got Talent to charities. She is a special individual, and one you cannot follow without developing a special bond.

Shes about 8 years old here. I've been following AJ for 11 years. She started singing at an extraordinarily young age. There's a video of her at 1 and a 1/2 singing in her crib. And in many interviews she described that she listened to videos on TH-cam at the age of 3 and 4. She started an after scool program in the sound studio, I believe, at the age of four. Her grandmother took her to record stores to research especially jazz. There are videos of four songs by her in that studio at about age 6. She told her mom she wanted to sing for Simon Cowell at the age of 3. She told her mom she wanted to be on talent shows like Norway's got talent when she was 5. Her mom said its been like dealing with an adult since she was seven. Even at a young age performing, she did the vocal arrangements- great example, I Put at Spell On You, her tribute to Screamin J Hawkins. In that video, in the beginning, she hands her vocal arrangement notes to, I belive, the musical director. She plays guitar piano violin and flute. I believe she is the definition of a child musical prodigy.

Angelina has done a lot more than 40 videos - it is ,more like 150 to 200 - and, yes she has appeared in concert throughout her career - also, In addition to the 150+ covers Angelina has sung over the years of her career (almost all of which are her own arrangements) - she has also been writing songs since she was 10 years 0ld - So far 13 have been released: Oslo, What is Life?, Shield, Million Miles, 7th Heaven, Love Don't Let Me Go, Now I'm The Fool, Fire and Rain, All My Fault, Good in Goodbyes, Diamond, Our Time, and Bad Valentine. Angelina has stated that she has written about 100 songs that have yet to be released. Her songs are taken from her Journal writings. When she was 10/11 she rewrote the Lyrics to Amy Winehouse's Back to Black and Rehab to make them more age appropriate at that time. In addition, Angelina performed an unreleased original song Princess of Ruins that she has only performed in concert - if and when that is officially released it will be her 14th original. She also performed two more original unreleased songs at her Los Angeles concert: Thank You and What Am I To You?

You can't figure out who she sounds like. From the age of 2 Angelina studied all the great jazz singers. In her younger years, she would sometimes emulate one of them, like Billie Holiday, Amy Winehouse or Diane Washington. But other times like in this video she is more using skills from many of them to sing in her own original style.

Angelina is unique and a musical savant. She was gifted physically from birth but inherited a part of the soul of many a great artist along with technique. She has a special connection to music that few ever have and as you will hopefully feel, Angelina will bring you, the listener, from your world into her special world of song and for awhile you will be removed from all your troubles. For covers she knows instantly how she wants the song to sound as you will see when she sang with a guitarist named Ivan Mendez when they would get together at her home, choose several songs---he would learn the cords and they would record it usually in one take. She was 12 at the time. She is self-taught (thank God) and as magnificent today as she was as a child and her talent has matured with her. Angelina was about 10 in this video. She has recorded several different versions of this song. At 12 years old she was asked by legendary producer Quincy Jones to perform at his 85th birthday celebration in London. She performed this song to the arrangement Jones had written for Frank Sinatra.
As with most young artists she started with covers but has been writing songs since she was 10. 13 have been released, at least 7 others have been recorded but not yet released and a couple others have been performed live only at recent concerts. She’s said that she has written over 100 songs and continues to write.

Thank you for reacting to Angelina. Her best performance is her last performance you listen to. I don't know about the 40 you talk about because her own songs and covers must be over 300. If you really want to know Angelina, listen to her 4 performances on NGT when she was 7 and won when she was 8. She must have been 10 in this video. At 11 she looks a bit older than in this video.

Just FYI, you can’t always go by the date of the video to determine Angelina’s age. The dates are just the posting date, not the recording date. Some or her early videos were posted 1 to 1-1/2 years after recording. Even some songs on her 2023 EP Old Enough were recorded as much as a year before release.
Her original song Bad Valentine released last September when she was 18 was actually recorded in 2022 when she was still 16.

There's no shortage of material available on YT for you to react to (enough to do a few a week for the rest of this year). You need to see her very early stuff (from age 6 forward) to fully appreciate the child prodigy that she is (was? Angelina just turned 19 years old two weeks ago). I'm subscribing to see what you decide to do next; I suspect "I Put a Spell on You" (at age 9) is probably the best place to start -- it's truly a stunning performance!
As others have already said, she has far more than 40 videos.🙂 That's just her Official channel you were looking at. She also has a CoverChannel with a similar number of videos, mostly recorded at home, and a so-called Fanclub Mosarz channel controlled by her grandmother (who uses the name Mosarz as her nom d'artiste, in her role as a professional visual artist), containing over 300 videos of all sorts, spanning nearly her entire life (most with her singing, but many not). And, of course, there are fan channels collecting hundreds more videos recorded by the fans themselves (at concerts, mostly) or sourced from her and her family's various social media accounts. And that's just talking about "original footage" of her. I'm not even counting videos that are made up entirely of reused footage and photos.
Now, you might think that the vast majority of these videos I'm referring to are not of much interest to anyone except hardcore fans, and I'll grant you that that's true of a great many of them (especially when considering the last few years of nearly continual daily posting of very short TikToks by her and her family).
