Hey, removing the battery step in our previous reply was an attempt to resolve the issue of the camera, as it's not working after the battery was taken out during the update. Taking the battery out and place it again after 2-3 minutes is one of the basic troubleshooting steps that is recommended when the camera is malfunctioning, and during an update. ^Omnia
Скачал новую версию программы через мобильное приложение. Перенес новую версию из мобильного приложения на камеру через Wi-Fi. В меню камеры появилась опция Обновления программы. Но после нажатия кнопки "Обновить" ничего не происходит. Также пробовал обновить через Настройки- Модель- Версия. Но ничего не пооисходит. Что делаю не так?

Hello! I watched your video on how to update the Firmware via card. Since I stopped it during the update on my SonyA7SII because it didn't seem to load, the camera hasn't turned on since. I found a video with my same problem in which it is suggested to restore the software through the card, then insert it leaving the camera on so that it detects it and installs it by itself. But the video was talking about a Sony A7IV with two slots, while mine is with a single slot. I tried to do the same procedure but nothing happened. Previously, a small red light was on near the C4 button. After a while that I inserted the card it turned off. But the camera was still turned off. Is there another procedure that can be done to make it work again, or is the camera lost? Thank you very much for your answer.

What do you do with Mac OS version 14.5 when wanting to update a 200-600 lens? No mention on the site & a video would be helpful... just like this was for the body update!... easy when you know how I suppose... I don't know how!

hi . when i selected Execute and let my camera to update with full battery then i back to check it out i saw my camera was turned off and little red light was gone and my camera doesn’t work and doesn’t turned on … after that i check website and do reset without battery after that red light comes back and it’s blinking again… it doesn’t seems right because i am waiting for it so much … thanks for your answer ( and sorry for my bad English language i hope you understand my comment)

@@SonyEuro sony a7iv … my camera has 7 red check light when i show it to sony service center in my city ( TEHRAN ) they told me if they can’t fix it with some program or software or etc … they should change main board because that update may damage my camera’s main board …. it cost to much for me … in my country this camera is so expensive .

if it blinks 5 times slow and 6 times fast you can remove battery.

A7rV 2.01ver=909mb. I didn't expect it to have such a large file size.

Nope. At least with my SEL200600G and SEL70200F28GMII it is not possible (update needed to enable all 9M3 full capabilities to those lenses), there is no download image on the support website. So, you must use that super inconvenient procedure by the computer safety violating Sony update software.
When I transfer the file to an SD card and insert it to update on the "version" page, it says there's no media inserted, there's no update file, or the file is damaged. Tried with 2 different cards. Any ideas?

@@SonyEuro my current software version is 1.11. I followed the directions as listed at the link but I receive the following message when trying to update: "there is no media inserted in slot 1, there is no file in the media, or the file is damaged."

After I download the update to the camera this is what appears to me
there is no media inserted in slot 1
there is no update file in the media
or the file is damaged

-Take the batteries out for two minutes.
-Test with another working card.

couldnt get the menu option on an A7riii

On the Sony download website you write under Download Details: "If the access light flashes 5 times long (0.5 sec. long) and 6 times short (0.25 sec.), the system software may not have been copied to the memory card correctly. In this case, remove the battery and memory card from the camera and start again from Saving system software information to a memory card."
So quite the opposite of what you say in the video ("never ever take out the battery")!
I had this issue and proceeded as written on the sony website. But now my 7M4 remains black and I can't do anything with it! I also don't have a second camera for formatting another SD-Card.
What shall I do now?!
