I'm presently in a SW program for my MSW and Dr. Wheeler I was initially hesitant to listen to this forum, however I appreciate your honest delivery of historical and transparent discussion about this field of service. You addressed the micro, mezzo, and macro levels that individuals faced all over this country and world. It definitely makes me reflect on the work demonstrated in the movie, Origin, the social injustice that so many black and brown people are facing in this country (I'm presently in a battle for one of my brothers lives), and acknowledging the food deserts around this country in cities and towns that are so often forgotten and the effect it has on every aspect of families lives.... The history of Social work is parallel to the foundation of this country and it is extremely mentally and emotionally draining. I'm sure I'll be searching for more of your work. May your life continue to educate us about living purposely daily.
