In 50 years I’ve seen a lot of good players come and go... and a lot of highlight reels - this kid is indeed the very best I’ve seen. Magic to watch - He’s just a bloody wrecking ball out there. Unstoppable. Inhuman. Awe inspiring. Legendary. I hope McDavid has a very long and healthy career. An absolute pleasure to watch.✌️❤️🇨🇦

@@neptuun9425 this isn’t basketball, we don’t disrespect our greats. That being said, I’ve been watching for 40yr now and while he probably won’t touch much of Wayne’s records, McDavid is playing the game at the highest level we’ve seen.
Are you blind these last 50 years, real hockey players did it being constantly kicked on there ass everytime they came close to the puck, I've never seen such girly hockey in all the last 50 years,
@@455rockett i couldn't see one situation in that highlight reel where someone came even close enough to check him, he is just too good at evading those checking situations with those quick changes in direction and his ability to read the opponent

I totally agree, he's unstoppable, but since when is someone with 7.5 seasons in the league considered a veteran lmao. With your logic, current players with double the seasons, like 15 seasons or so, should either be dead or retired

This guy is a cheat code. Pace, power, skill, he has everything. His edge work is insane and then he has the ability to change it up. The Matrix. When you think he skated down a dead end, he'll find a way out. Incredible. Another level up from anything we've ever seen.
I don't think that he has everything. He can't really check that hard or fight, and he has never won the Selke Trophy either. Suggesting that he has it all is a blatant lie. Everything else though, the man is a legend! Future Hall of Famer easily.

For any other player any of these goals would be their highlight of the season but this man does this almost 15 times a season.
I am very happy to have found hockey, because it is not a very popular sport in my country. I haven't seen many things in the game, but to me this is inhuman. I am pleased to witness McDavid's carrer in its best.

Imagine a league in which all players have his level of skill and ability, and are actually able to compete with him. A league where guys like Ovi, Crosby, Mackinnon, or Matthews etc., would literally be in the bottom half of the stats leader board lmao

Can we just all agree that hockey is the most skillful sport out there? I don't care what others say, no sports come even close on the overall skill/athletism required to play hockey. Just skating itself is a hard skill to master.
McDavid has around 60 points in 30 games this year. He's probably on pace for his best season yet!
Indeed. He might become the 6th player in NHL history to get 150 points in a season. Only Gretzky, Lemieux, Yzerman, Esposito and Nichols have done it.

He got over 100 assists per season for 11 seasons in a row. No-one will ever beat Gretsky in assists. However his goal record is going to be broken within the next 2 years or so.

honestly the most terrifying thing to see as a goalie is to see McDavid just driving full steam right towards to you
these are the types of guys that dynasties are built around. can change the whole atmosphere in franchise. i have been a sports freak for 30 plus years or so and i think mcdavid has the most talent i have ever seen from any hockey player and that includes lemieux and the great one and jagr. i enjoy watching him play.

When he showed up in the NHL and they made him a captain right away, I resented it = felt like this would be another overhyped kid. Boy was I wrong...ever since I saw him skate, have been a huge fan.The others do not come even close....and I would dare to say that this applies even to some of the greats like Crosby, Jagr etc.

Well, Usain is the fastest sprinter there ever was. The advantage that hockey skates provide athletes over sprinting spikes are probably just their turning, stopping and gliding abilities. For speed you want to go for speed skates. With those, male athletes can reach right around 60 kph.

Connor is so fast during regular season games, he can knife through both defenseman and create a breakaway even if it is from a broken play. Shades of Gretzky. My team is the Habs and Cole Caufield is my favourite player. However, McDavid will win the Rocket Richard Trophy.

Not at full speed with a puck on his stick. That's the difference, McDavid can pull these moves at top speed. Doesn't give his opponents time to think or anticipate.
