    Apologies about the reupload. The last one was age-gated due to 1/2 a second of non-puritan content (it showed a girl dancing suggestively). When a video is age-restricted it usually ends up removed from recommendations. I took out the part that I think was causing great moral harm to the TH-cam community.

    "In northwest Alaska, kunlangeta "might be applied to a man who, for example, repeatedly lies and cheats and steals things and does not go hunting, and, when the other men are out of the village, takes sexual advantage of many women." The Inuits tacitly assume that kunlangeta is irremediable. And so, according to Murphy, the traditional Inuit approach to such a man was to insist he go hunting, and then, in the absence of witnesses, push him off the edge of the ice."

    No doubt about The Don being a full blown narcissistic egomaniac. Still, I believe that we all have narcissistic tendencies as part of our personality structure. Like with all personality traits, it’s kind of a spectrum. I was missing this aspect in your video. It came across a bit fingerpointy, without giving back the acknowledge that we all are narcs to some degree imho. I’m worried that without such acknowledgement of „the evil“ in oneself, we’re pushing stereotyping more and more forward, which will lead to more blaming, dividing and raging. Anyway, sry for the rambling. As always your video was quite entertaining and thought provoking. Also I really liked the editing on this one. So thanks man!

      there’s a difference between having narcissistic personality traits and having NPD tho. it seems like the video was example after example of why trump is a narcissist/has npd vs has narcissistic traits. he laid out the reasoning for why with the childhood trauma and quotes from his mother. people have narcissistic traits but like he said in the beginning of the video althought narcissism is thrown around a lot in conversations today only 1% of people of people actually have npd. this video is explaining why trump is in that 1% not just another person w narcissistic traits

    • @joshuakuhn5741
      @joshuakuhn5741 3 ปีที่แล้ว +26

      As the guy above already explained pretty well, it’s not about people being generally self-centered or egoistic sometimes. Narcissism is more like a deeper rooted mental disfunction (or trauma) than a character trait or mood. The video is not very blaming in my opinion, as Sisyphus explains pretty well the childhood upbringing that caused this behavior.

    • @theoriginalrandomman
      @theoriginalrandomman 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I mean, he devotes a section of the video to handling the "universality" of narcissism as per the Melville quote. I'm not sure I totally get it myself, but it seems like the gist is that we all have an idealized self that we want to achieve, that we all want to earn (legitimate) praise. The difference between that and an actual narcissist is that the narcissist devotes themselves to maintaining the fiction that they've earned praise and status when they have not.

      Um, why do people expect others to tell them what they should and shouldn't be doing? Why do people rely on the government so much? What ever happened to personal responsibility? People who want big governments are scared of being responsible for themselves. Besides, he did try to take steps to prevent it from coming here directly from China but they called him a xenophobe.
      We are about to go through some very dark times in regards to the economy. Inflation is already here and we're going to have to find a way to pay back all the trillions of dollars being printed from thin air. Suicide rates are increasing because people have lost jobs and their homes. Do you prefer people to die because of a virus (with a 98%+ recovery rate), or by suicide, hunger, and homelessness because of an economic crisis?
      An economic crisis would negatively effect 98%+ of people, while Covid-19 negatively affects just a few percent. The only advice I can give right now is to make sure you have all your ducks in a row for the dark times ahead. They're coming.

    • @Sara-gl8ue
      @Sara-gl8ue 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      One more thing. According to the CDC, 78% percent of people who were hospitalized or died from Covid-19 were overweight and obese. This means that Covid-19 is not nice to people who don't take care of their bodies, yet I still see long lines of people at the drive-thru of McDonald's. When will people start taking personal responsibility for their own health? The vast majority of Covid-19 deaths could have been prevented if people would have put a little more effort into leading a healthier lifestyle. But again, personal responsibility is a thing of the past. People need someone or something to blame in order to make themselves feel better about their own shortcomings...

      I think it's also important to take note trump, being the narcissist that he is, knew how to prey on disgruntled blue collar workers. And lets be honest, neither side gives a damn about the working class. Trump ended up giving massive tax cuts to billionaires, and the Biden shut down a pipeline and drove thousands of Americans into joblessness for the environment. Neither side cares about the public, and that's really sad if you think about it. The only guy who cared was Bernie, and the Americans sacrificed him on the altar of partisanship.
