I like how the biggest challenge in this game isn't necessarily getting enough food or surviving other dinosaurs.
No, it's finding a decent server that's located on the same hemisphere as you, lol.
Still a good game, and especially stunning for a roblox game.
I don't understand why people don't play this game, but I heard a while ago that it's gonna go to steam.

@@celestraoceans5149 It is but the roblox version isnt going anywhere it will stay the only reason its not big is because its “paleo accurate” which is a niche player base and longer growth/progression for everything compared to other roblox dino games which are easy and simple like dino sim
People genuinely embracing Roblox dinosaur games honestly makes me smile, since many of these games deserve the attention that they didn’t get much of before
It's ashame this attention isn't going to the actual and original dinosaur simulator or Dinosaur Arcade, the new DS that the creator of DS made.
The reason this attention isn't going to DA is probably because it's still in Beta (for an oddly long time due to less Devs). COS (Creatures of Sonaria) had like less than 1k players back when it was in beta but things instantly changed when it was fully complete. I assume something like that will happen to DA as well.

The reason the dinosaurs are so realistic is something called mesh patterns
The visuals are expanding, so are the possibilities of what can be done with the engine, but people's neurons are going the opposite direction
That game is not even THAT good when you compare it too other games 🙂
@@Sven_feesh Its a roblox game that does not have a giant team of developers constantly working on it.
Ok here’s a few tips if you’re ever going to play again:
1. In a fight go for the head or neck of the dinosaur to do more damage but with styraco or diablo try tail riding cause it’s harder to do that.
2. Hold alt in game to use your cursor.
3. Don’t mixpack or carebear with other species or in the future when spino is added it’ll have sucho and icthy minions.
4. And on the game page if you scroll down there you can view all of the servers. It doesn’t show what region they’re in but it’ll help with server hopping.

Tip: You have 5 stats, symbolized from the icons on the bottom of your screen. The more visible they are the worse they are and the harder you should work to get those up. They are from left to right as follows: Social, Energy, Cleanliness, Temperature, and Nutrition.
Social - Some animals prefer to be near their own kind, but it must be the same age as you. Solitary creatures' social lowers if they are near anything that isn't in their pack/meets pack gender ratio requirements.
Energy - Sleep during the apropriate time, helps to find shelter so nothing attacks you while you're sleeping.
Cleanliness - Some creatures clean in mud, some in dust, and some in water. To do this, sit in the apropriate area and press t. You should see a cleaning animation.
Temperature - Usually regualtes if you're in your creatures native biome, though can go up during heatwaves and down during heavy rain.
Nutrition - Goes up if you eat something that is not your own kind.
You can also smell for food, although I forget the key.
Never assume someone is your friend; Herbivore players are usually KOS.
It is f for senses unless controls are actively changed

Friendly reminder that there's no rules in this game so kosing is fully allowed, but you can make a private server for free and put rules on it which is the best bet if you plan on making a series on this game. As always, a banger video from the og gamingbeaver!

Fun fact for you beavs Larger dinosaurs in prior extinction have more growth stages with icthy its juve, teen, adult but for suchos it’s juve, teen, sub adult, and than adult
Beaver, Prior Extinction has a dino wikipedia, which allows you to learn some info about them, but some players often just KOS.
Honestly 😢 it’s a sad thing but I learned of you play like a realistic Dino you have better chance at survival to adulthood 😊

The sad Prior Extinction fans when beaver doesn't rename the title from "Dinosaur Simulator" to "Prior Extinction"
Useful tip: you can actually do twice damage by hitting a small dino and running it over for quick kills. It only works on smaller dinos tho

To select your server you must go on the game but not enter it , a lil bit down you should have a servers button or smth and you can select if you press it

I like itchynovateer it’s one of my favorite Spinosaurid’s it was mostly built for eating fish although ichty had a lot of prey like many sauropods it would still have competition with crocodiles lizards and other creatures

In terms of graphics and realism PE is the best but in terms of fun gameplay it's definitely DA

If you put you mouse on the "?" in the wellbeing menu at diet you can see you preferred food. Also avoid eating meat that has flies around it unless you are something like a torvo or an acro. I forgot which other species can eat rotten food. Oh and this game has a tutorial you know.
I was playing prior extinction and I founmd this in my recommended when I opened youtube! I would love it if this became a series like your PoT or The isle videos. You should play as a ceratosaurus next. Its a fast and powerful dino if used correctly.

prior extincion is one of my favorite dinosaur games on roblox!! it really embraces the survival instincts!
*Me who has been playing Prior extinction everyday to get a chance to meet Beaver took a break on the day he plays the game* :
I remember I was a teen allo, an adult carno came out of nowhere and killed me in 1 bite. It moved so fast that I couldn't tell what it was until it walked back into the frame showing my dead body. Carnos are the meta, you are literally the fastest thing in the game as an adult carno. Teen and juvi carno is slower than adult.
Beaver if you are playing a bleed type you need to keep hitting one spot like the head to stack bleed you get more dmg based on where you hit the weakspots are the head neck and body i guess have fun in roblox with your funny ping!
James! Play cenozoic survival. It's a roblox animal realism survival game that takes place in the cenozoic era. It's fun to play and most of the servers are english. Its also not as complicated as era of terror. Btw, you can choose to go to the server you want to go by scrolling down and pressing servers once you clicked the game from the home page

DA isn't dying at all. It's just underrated as f. It'll probably be one of the best Roblox survival games when the Devs add everything they planned. There's a good chance this games players will sky rocket when abilities are added.

Why is everyone mostly nice to Beaver in this game?! When I log in, I try to be friendly but people just want to kill me very single time. :c
For the servers, you click on the game in roblox, but instead of clicking the big green play button, go down the list until you see servers. Click on that and you a can browse though a "little" better. I had that same issue when I was trying to play Creatures of Sonaria, it kept putting me in Russian servers haha. Roblox really needs a proper server list!

I had a horrible time playing this game for the first time.
It took ages to load into the game itself, and THEN it took forever to load into a server.
After all that, i kept dying within.. three minutes? of starvation (ik, skill issue, right? very friendly to new players)
But the straw that broke MY back was getting KOSed by an adult Icthyovenator.
I was a baby and the dude made an effort to swim ACROSS a river, kill me, and swim back, without even eating me.
At least the sandbox servers were kinda fun, i joined a Torvo pack.

You should do quetz! There's a server in POT called Arazoa, they have yuty and the quetz in the same server. Love the content!
Omg I love prior extinction and other dinosaurs games (also if you want to change sever or gamemode, go to the main menu and click gamemode there should be severs and the gamemodes)
Beaver once again called Prior Extinction Dinosaur Simulator. But damn you know a game is iconic when you literally see popular TH-camrs accidentally use their name. Too bad DS died tho but DA is still amazing.
Also beaver I suggest you play Dinosaur Arcade. It's a cool blocky dinosaur survival game with cool creatures.
Eh, dinosaur arcade really ain't that fun from my personal experience. Shift lock ruins combat and almost all need for skill unless yer the ridiculously fast Utah. Utah in Dinosaur arcade is so fast it can barely keep up with shift lock as long as you occasionally jump to keep on the back of yer opponent.
Then we have range, I never liked it, and I never will. Even if I grew up on Dinosaur simulator I still HATE it with a passion.
Skill issue lol. There is a strategy and that's speed. You can take on big creatures using speed and memorising their attack speed. If that doesn't please you then don't worry abilities are comming in July which will make the game very skill based

None of that fight was mixpacking looking off where you time stamped, it was 2 ichthys VS 1 sucho, that's not a mixpack. If beaver was interacting with the Suchomimus beforehand, then that is completely his fault for interacting with it

Tutorial on how to switch servers: first click on game mode in the lobby menu, then click on the survival game mode and then you can see all servers.

Pvp tips: aim for headshots, not the tail or body. After a fight and u are bleeding, avoid going in water. In my opinion hit and run is the best tactic.
