Thx for the warning about the difficulty with carryon bags. We will be traveling on them on an upcoming trip, always do carry on only but I’m preparing to be forced to check our bags. UGH.
It was super annoying. If it's a softer bag, maybe it won't seem as big and will fit the sizer no problem. We did try the sizer again on another trip and confirmed it's more so a personal size. So idk 🤷🏾♀️

Tap is poor quality but it got me to Europe for $212 bucks so can’t complain. I did take a walk on my 8 hour flight and they passed my seat with the food and as soon as they did I sat down and called the waitress lol and she told me that they had passed me already. So I wasn’t gonna eat on an 8 hours flight? Yeah, so o told her I would be having the chicken option and thanked her, three minutes later I had my plate of food. Lol but you get what you pay for. Their employees could care less tho.
I grew up in Portugal and TAP is honestly one of poorest quality airlines. Overseas I flew on several dozen different airlines and TAP was consistently one of the worst. They constantly have strikes that interrupt travel. Their aircraft are usually dirty, the food is poor quality, and yes they inevitably make you check all bags. They often loose them. The only good thing is the staff are generally quite friendly.
Was the worst airlines that ever flight with, delayed after delayed, passengers running at Lisbon airport because most passengers are delayed, when I claimed a complain they said because of the weather, there weather was perfect and other flight were taking off, and we were waiting on the runway, we were delayed because the crew was taking there sweet time to board passengers
