USED to be the best file manager. Those just downloading it for the first time will never know just how great it was.
It peaked at v3.2.5 IMO which I still use and recommend. A simple internet search and you can find an old .apk file of it layin around. EVERY feature in the app worked PERFECTLY if you can imagine that. Last time I checked in on it was v4.0.4 and it was a glitchy, spammy, non-customizable nagware mess.
Oh well, all that lives must die...

Rain G. ES version 3.2.5 from 2014 is the last good version IMO. Latest versions of Solid Explorer are also very decent but not as good as ES 3.2.5. ALL the cool little features of the app still run bug/spam-free!

I have disappointed with the recent changes to ES File Explorer. I was using it to save APK files as I know sometimes bum updates happen. For Jelly bean devices it was easy to role back. For kit kat or lollipop where users have been created there is a problem. The owner can be fixed but it had to be uninstalled for the other users. Another solution is to buy Pro which is the one I have taken.
