    Brilliant Mark! These well constructed tutorials have taken the mystery out of this radio and allowed me to get on to the good stuff. Many thanks!

    This is the best tutorial by far in terms of doing special mixing controlling more than 1 servo with a single channel. Thank you!

    Awesome video . Subscribed ! Can you please make a tutorial on taranis how I can control a tank with 2 motors please. I want to use the throttle to increase the speed of both motors and aileron stick to make it turn left to right . Or any method you would suggest . Thank you

    I loaded open tx 2.3 on my Horus x12 mixer looks way different. Open TX is nice takes weeks to learn how to use it. I guess I should have gotten a Taranis like most people have lots of videos show how to program it.

      Running 2.3.10 on my Horus x12s aswell, can no longer find the option to use external aerial hopefully 2.3.11 will fix this

    How to create knife edge mixing for rudder to elevator and aileron but having different amount of mix for right rudder and when you do left rudder it is a different amount?

  • @amtpdb1
    @amtpdb1 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Just bought the Taranis. How would you set it up so that you have flaperons and when the flaps are deployed you might need some down elevator to come in. Can this be done?
    Thanks
    Don

    is there an option in the mixing called "master" or "slave"? if so, you can use that to make one channel mimic another by a certain amount. I don't have a taranis, but that's how most radios do it.

    Awesome. I just got my Taranis. So I dont need a computer to assign the channels and get it working?

    • @marhar2
      @marhar2  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +nick newman Correct... you can do everything on the screen menus. There is the Companion software that lets you do it on the computer and then download, but it's optional.

    You didn't really cover mixing here at all. ;-) The question is how to mix eg. both rudder * 100% and aileron * 15% into CH2?
    Regarding OpenTX - its UI doesn't look well designed. I even saw you clicking on a mix when you wanted to edit it, but instead OpenTX went into "moving" mode, which is awkward. It happens for me, too. Who'd setup default action to be "moving" instead of "editing"? :D Even worse - in other cases, when you want to edit a value, you don't long-press and select "Edit" - just clicking ENT is enough. Where's consistency? ;-)

    Great video I am just starting out and I am trying to set up my gimbal on ch 8 when I make the adjustments mentioned in the video the speed of my slider changes but not the travel, the gimbal then shuts down as I have surpassed the gimbals movement I need to limit the gimbals travel to solve that problem any advice would be great thanks.

    How to mix two servos in a flying wing?

  • @derrickmitchell39dm
    @derrickmitchell39dm 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Question, I am using a FC. Should I have my servos go into the receiver as you have done or leave them going onto the FC because currently right now I am not getting any up and down movement when I move my sticks. Thanks.

    • @marhar2
      @marhar2  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question. This video is showing the setup for a non-FC setup, where the receiver is directly connected to all servos. In an FC system, the receiver will connect to the FC, and all servos/motors are connected to the FC, allowing the FC to adjust the servos/motors.

    • @derrickmitchell39dm
      @derrickmitchell39dm 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mark Harrison WOW, thats the set up I got and I not getting any flaps moving up or down when i move the stick. The Taranis is set up for a fixed wing too.

  • @kennethpappas
    @kennethpappas 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hey man, i programed flaps but they come down fast. Can you help me figure out how i can get them to come down slowly please.

    • @marhar2
      @marhar2  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +kennethpappas You bet! I can't remember what it's called (i'm away from my taranis), but you can specify a delay and how fast the channel is changed.

    • @JohnDrach
      @JohnDrach 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +kennethpappas If you look at the 50 second mark of the video and you look to the right side of the Taranis Screen its either the Delay up/down or the slow up/down option you are looking for

    what about throttle cut how do you set that up on a switch

  • @propflux015
    @propflux015 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    You keep using rudder, I want to make channel 8 move a servo, how is that accomplished?

    • @marhar2
      @marhar2  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Propflux01 Add a mix for channel 8. The input can be either one of the sticks, or one of the switches or pots.

  • @OneLousyShot
    @OneLousyShot 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    This just looks like limits an d switch assignment. Suppose I wanted to mix throttle and elevator???

  • @marhar2
    @marhar2  11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Suppose your rudder is channel 4. Go to the channel 4 mix, and you will see that that the source is Rud. Change the source to Ail. That's it!

    •  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      thanks for the simple explanations, this video made sub your channel

  • @joedockstader1347
    @joedockstader1347 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    or just plug the rudder into the aileron channel on the rx.

    Nothing worse to a newbe on Taranis than to say. "First let me show you how NOT to do it". lol
