Buffalo National River Camping Erbie Campground Review and 4x4 Adventure

Join us for an adventure exploring one of the more remote places to camp along the Buffalo National River - the Erbie Campground.
The campground has great river access, a perfect swimming hole, and access to the Buffalo River Trail (BRT), the park's most popular backpacking trail.
There are 14 drive-in sites and 2 walk-in sites available for tent camping.
No services are provided here except a vault toilet. There are no fees charged to camp here - it is first come - first serve.
The easiest way to access this campground is from Highway 7 north of Jasper, Arkansas.
If you’re up for an even more off-the-beaten-path adventure, go the long way from Compton.
Campers will need to cross a low-water crossing at the Buffalo River. Crossing with a high-clearance vehicle isn’t a problem if the river is low.
A mile from the campground, folks can walk to the old Parker-Hickman Farmstead. The area is steeped in historic homesteads.
