I am 32, I used to skate for 1 year when i was 12, i have been back to skateboarding for 5 days now and i can do ollie, shove it so far. i can say it has been the nicest decision so much joy to be back on a board. loved your progress well done man
Inspired! Good video too. 42 about to turn 43 just got back on the board since my 20's. So sketch, plus I hurt calf muscle already. Loving every moment!
Good progression, skating takes at least 5 years to be any good. You started to get more of a style on month 10. Keep going with your skating and just have fun!
Now that I’m getting more and more into skateboarding, it’s honestly one of the most under credited hobbies in the world… takes a ridiculous amount of time and skill to be even looked at as “good”
This is lit and real motivating. I started skating as a kid but never progressed with it. I’ll be turning 30 this fall, and decided to get back on the board to not only remain active but to learn this hobby professionally.
I skated for almost 10 years of my life when I was young. I just turned 30 and tried to boardslide a rail the other day and completely ate shit. Falling hurts 10x more in your adult life lol
epic journey my man, have started to skate now at 31 and I try to make an hour after work every day to stay consistent. so far I can ollie as high as I can jump and I can somewhat ollie while rolling most of the time. shuvs are so damn scary to jump forward and onto a spinning board... I land them sometimes. Just figured out how to get the spin on the kickflip, but I keep my legs straight after their motions so they are first to the ground all the time... 180 turns on ramps at the skate park and ollies are the most fun so far :) thanks for posting, definitely got me motivated!
sounds like you're making good progress! something that helped me with shuvs is to imagine my back foot is passing the board to my front foot. focus on the front foot catch and landing them will be a breeze.
This gives me hope. I skated tons in my teens and yesterday was the first time I practiced flat ground in 14 years and I fell in love with s'bing again. I used to get so angry failing tricks but now I understand it takes time, patience and consistency. To see how far you've come has boosted my confidence and one day get back to a decent level again, If not better one day. Keep up dude and thanks for the inspiration and happy skating.
Very impressed! Your progression is crazy fast. I'm 31 myself and I just got a board. I haven't done tricks for 15 years haha I did some cruising with a cruiser board though
Man I love these vids. I used to skate and now my 8 year old son wants to learn. This inspires the hell outta me. I was messing around on his new board and I can still ride…did a couple shuvits but I didn’t try anything else. I ordered a new full set up and it should be here soon. I can’t wait to get back out there.
I'm doing the same thing brother. I'm in month 5 right now and im just slightly older than you. Good to see the geezers are out shreddin the NNNNNNNNNNNAAAAAAAAAAR
I'm skating for 3 years my progression is slow and im not rushing. I really enjoy cruising late in night and going to skate park is fun , it's pretty much like you go out and party . Im 32 years old . One love
I was never able to get into skateboarding like I wanted to when I was younger because of my weight and where I lived but now I'm 27, skinny, and live next to plenty of flat concrete. Videos like this are how I'm convincing myself that I'm not "too old" to get back into it lol. My knees have like 10 more years in them and I'm gonna take advantage of it lol
Sickk videoo. I quit about 2 years ago dueing the pandemic now im 20 and getting back too it. Always wanted to kickflip down some stairs😂 This video was really motivating
Those are éS Accel OGs in black! Great beginner shoes because there are 3 layers of suade where you ollie. esskateboarding.com/collections/shop/products/accel-og-black
yo im turning 29 and got my first board. id like to see a new vid of ur progression! im also a bad producer n also have a lost solo tattoo on the same spot , kinda weird watching myself but i was like: yy this i u in one year haaaah
i tried slappy noseslides on a painted curb one day but didn't slide far enough to get any good footy. but i moved and there's a buttery parking block at the skatepark so i'll give it another try!
Awesome ! you seem very dedicated. How much time per day/week have you been dedicating to the practice since you started ? You look very at ease even the first month 😮👏 I am 41, bought my board 2 weeks ago. Hoping to achieve such good results.
You take to the board veey well. Most people are not pulling off moving lickflips and 50 50s for at least 2 years. Start trying shit bigger and faster and the rest will stsrt to fill in.
Until i can very consistently ollie 2 feet, or close to it, at higher speeds im not moving on to any sort of flip tricks.. i feel like really legit ollies look as cool as anything, or way cooler if its a trick at really low speed with little pop.
would love to try and skate again havent since 15 yo. but idk i remeber i got out of it bc apparently if your not hella good your a poser which i thought a poser is someone who don't even try tricks etc
How many hours a week did you put in. I’m currently 30 putting in about 5 hours a week. Profession is coming along. You should do another video like this!
Hell yeah, way to go! Record your progress, too! It's easy to forget how much better you get w/o the footage to remind you. I have another couple videos in the works and planning on posting soon. I put in about 2 hours per session, 3-5 days a week. Pretty much whenever I wasn't sore.
Hey mate! Last week I twisted my knee and probably I'll be without skateboarding for a few months, since I barely can't walk right now, haa !! But keep skateboarding man!!
im 34 i used to skate when i was 15 and im really thinking about comming back ! it was inspiring thank u !
keep posting your advances
exactly the same here! just bought a board
i hope you come back! it's just as fun as ever.
32 and feeling the same way! As olímpiadas tem culpa nisso haha
34 and just bought my first board in 14 years 👍
A skatepark is being built near me and I'm also going to buy a board, 35 years here, keep your thumbs up 😜

Dude yes!! I’m turning 30 this year and doing my best to get out daily and stay on the board!
me too! even just half an hour makes a big difference.
This is cool to see man. I'm 50 and just started skating again last week. Haven't been on a board since I was 15. This was motivating to watch.
"you don't stop skating because you get old, you get old because you stop skating!"
show us howyou doing man! much respect
Good progression, skating takes at least 5 years to be any good. You started to get more of a style on month 10. Keep going with your skating and just have fun!
Thanks man. So far so good!
Now that I’m getting more and more into skateboarding, it’s honestly one of the most under credited hobbies in the world… takes a ridiculous amount of time and skill to be even looked at as “good”
This is accurate especially if u skate about everyday
This is lit and real motivating. I started skating as a kid but never progressed with it. I’ll be turning 30 this fall, and decided to get back on the board to not only remain active but to learn this hobby professionally.
Get it! 💪
I skated for almost 10 years of my life when I was young. I just turned 30 and tried to boardslide a rail the other day and completely ate shit. Falling hurts 10x more in your adult life lol
Truth. I just bought a rail and have been working on boardslides. Luckily I haven't fallen too hard yet. Shins are taking a beating though.
I love the fact that you can see how comfy he gets with the board each month
Ayeee nice to see another KC local on here! Perfect video to watch for inspiration as I get back into skateboarding again at 29 lol. Keep skating bro!
I'm 40. Used to skate. I'm going to buy a set up next weekend due to this video. Thanks man.
That's what I love to hear!
i thought i was alone! keep up the good work guys! we can do that!
And you are doing this alone most of the time. Cool, man! Keep it up. I'm a bmxer but I appreciate your dedication.
Thank you! Love watching BMX.

Love this shit glad to see I’m not the only “old head” thinking about getting back on a board
Looking good... keep it up
thank you for giving me hope
these videos are what motivate me to keep skating
Same.

Happy skating bro, it's worth it. Keep a record of how far you go because it's easy to forget how much you improve
Very impressed! Your progression is crazy fast.
I'm 31 myself and I just got a board. I haven't done tricks for 15 years haha
I did some cruising with a cruiser board though
Excited for you to get back into it!!
@@calebolsen5801 I hope I won't hurt myself too much though. I have other activities and sports I can't skip.
I guess I'll go easy :)
Dude really nice progress! I’m 31 and thinking to go back at it after many years, you motivated me!
You got it! 💪
lol love the credits. Keep skating! Great to see your progress

🙏🙏 thank you! cruisers are fun to skate around town in!
33 And recently started, yeeeww!!

This was so awesome to watch! You learnt a lot in one years time and this video reminded me of why I love skateboarding so much. Keep pushing!
Thanks for the motivational words, brother!
Buying a board today because of this video. Thanks dude
this is the best compliment!
Ahh this is great! I'm still working on rolling ollie's and going down the ramps at the skateparks lol. My brain can't compute the shove its yet!
those were confusing for me at first too. you'll get them!
Props to anyone coming back or even more daring learning at an older age
🤙🤙🤙
Amazing progression bro!
I also started skateboarding around your age :D
You are doing really good! Keep it up :D
Thank you man!
Hell yeah bro, great work!
Thanks bro!
I'm doing the same thing brother. I'm in month 5 right now and im just slightly older than you. Good to see the geezers are out shreddin the NNNNNNNNNNNAAAAAAAAAAR

i was so happy with that and the stair set to close out the vid!
Epic progression!!!
Progressing well keep up the videos 👊🏼🔥🔥

Awesome progression. Keep it up 👍

oh yeah, yeah, nothing better than evolve and have fun🛹🔥
This makes me feel like I can do it, thanks
Good! You can do it 🫡
I've been for 23 years now and I still suck lol keep with it and your going to be shredding
It's crazy how there's always new stuff to learn!
Good shit bro!
Imma be 30 in 2 months. I'm picking up skating again. Thanks man
hell yeah post vids of your progress!
Just getting back on mine at 25. Wrecked my ankle down a 6 stair, didn’t realize how much my body aged 😂 be sure to stretch well before a good sesh.
i'm about to hit a 4-stair for the first time 😶
4:52- the moment you went from "imma destroy this stupid board!" to "I paid for this stupid board and dont wanna buy another!"
😂Love this comment, I didn't even realize that's probably what I was thinking hahaha
I love this
This makes me want to get out on my board bro!
ive been skating for about 2 years and within your first month youre better than i thought id ever be. time to give up ig lmao
haha no way just try to put in 30 minutes a day and you'll get it 💪
Sickk videoo. I quit about 2 years ago dueing the pandemic now im 20 and getting back too it. Always wanted to kickflip down some stairs😂 This video was really motivating
I hope to kf down a 2-3 stair too. Let's get it
@@calebolsen5801 best of luck bro

Cool 🤘🏾
You're never too old to skate boizzzz!!! You srs??? Bro Bob berquist and Tony hawk are like over 50 and still skate ⛸️
dude this is so sick
Thanks 🙏
I don’t skate much, mostly cause I ride mtb and bmx instead, but this is a sick progression my dude!
🙏 thanks homie!!
Love it, also trying to get into skating at 32. How much did you practice?
That's good to hear! About 10 hours a week on average.
wicked progression man. just started again myself at 33 so thanks for the inspiration. small q, what are the black shoes you are wearing near the end?
Those are éS Accel OGs in black! Great beginner shoes because there are 3 layers of suade where you ollie. esskateboarding.com/collections/shop/products/accel-og-black
I just to start with 45 years old!
Me too
Cooooool
very cool
Nice man! I just restarted at 34 landed 6 heelflips today sucked ass at those xd
i keep losing my heelflips! i can only land them on a really good day now lmao
@@calebolsen5801 lost them already too
yo im turning 29 and got my first board. id like to see a new vid of ur progression!
im also a bad producer n also have a lost solo tattoo on the same spot , kinda weird watching myself but i was like: yy this i u in one year haaaah
haha that's funny. i am working on a year 2 video! just trying to land a good closing trick - treyflip or ollie a 5-stair.
This is wildly impressive dude! How much did u skate on average per week?
On average, probably 4-5. The pandemic was helpful in that way.
@@calebolsen5801 haha true! Well, you helped to convince me, I'm getting a board asap!
Try some slappy nose slides/stalls. Super easy and fun. Low commitment!!!

used to skate in my teens, i js picked up another board at 27
How many hours a week you were riding?
hey i am just bought a board and have only ollie while rolling learned 75 percent. how often do you spend time skating and practicing tricks a week?
Pretty much any time my legs weren't too sore. Even if you just go out for half an hour or 20 minutes, better than nothing!
love evrything about video except music
Keep shredding
🤙
How is everyone so good at skateboarding. Your progression is great
🙏🙏 thanks brother
this gave me hope i probably haven’t skated since i was like 13 i’m 26 now and just picked up a board again
😤💪
you already did rolling ollies and shove its in your first 3 months?😧wow! Ok, now I feel bad for my slow progression
i was already pretty comfortable on the board when i started learning tricks - i have longboarded and snowboarded for a long time.
30 years old and wanting to come back but its been 14 years
DO IT!!
You take to the board veey well. Most people are not pulling off moving lickflips and 50 50s for at least 2 years. Start trying shit bigger and faster and the rest will stsrt to fill in.

its good but 30 years old dude i learned how to oli when i was 9 im 10 now it took me 1 week to lurn ollie and 4 for kickflip
Certainly better than me! Haha
Just give it some time!
Hey mate! Last week I twisted my knee and probably I'll be without skateboarding for a few months, since I barely can't walk right now, haa !! But keep skateboarding man!!
Wow this is awsome, great! Did you start from zero skate knowledge?
Kind of! I knew how to push from having used a longboard but ollies and tricks were brand new. I watched a lot of trick tips on YT!
@@calebolsen5801 that’s great. Keep going 🙌😎
Crack!!!
I need to make a 26 year skate progression where I'm not much better 😂
When I was almost 30 years old, I just started to be interested in skateboarding, does it make sense to start such a passion or am I too old? :(
You know what they say, "You don't quit skateboarding because you get old, you get old because you quit skateboarding."
i was vibing then 0:50 came around n i was in space
favorite song i've made so far
how many times do you skate per week ? and for how long ?
I skated 3-6 days a week depending on how sore my legs were. My sessions were at least an hour, sometimes 2-3!
