I'm not sure who's fault it is. The original owner/builder died in another aircraft, it was going to his Grandson, but the kid didn't want to fly, so it was sold. The guy I got it from didn't seem to involved with fixing things. I think he may have not even known or cared. I knew about the fuel indication problems, I told him I'd fix it and I did. But the Aileron trim being backwards (10 minute fix) the RPM indication jumping all over the place (3K ohm resistor) the alternator C/B popping (New regulator), the compass not able to calibrate - unreliable (remounted in rear of baggage area), the choke cable jamming up unable to use (re-routed cable) the cabin heat cable broke so its full on cooking my CFI (again re-routed and secured cable), Airspeed all over the place, unreliable ( tubes loosely placed with fuel tubing, repaired with compression fittings), and now I've found the pitch cable rubbing on a rear bulkhead and the aileron cables! Oh and had to re-route electrical so it wasn't caught up on the pitch tube, and the landing and taxi lights cause the radio to squeal, so I have new LED lights from rigid industries (that's today's project since dumb dumb is in town so we can't fly!)
Your a better steward of this plane than the previous owner keep knocking the punch list down
Sorry to see more challenges with the plane. The previous owner didn't do you an favors thats for sure
