The dev was not happy when I told him there were two plugins in one! As you say part of the plugin is not used if you have another framework (which is not mandatory). The concern is also that it adds ACF when activating the plugin (especially for those who use Metabox). A version with just the tweaks would have been better (without loading ACF, see two separate plugins) but that's just my opinion.
@@nvammers9682 I'll go check on the latest version, but I think his plugin needs ACF, just because it's "hidden" in the admin doesn't mean it isn't active and loaded. I know he has removed the default variables that create a significant amount of rows in the wordpress options table. Maybe it is without impact on performance ... to be checked.
I am very tempted to buy the LTD of Advanced Themer that is available until July 10th, do you think its worth it? I have ACSS and Frames LTD, so I am doubtful.
If you own ACSS and Frames, Advanced Themer is mostly a quality of life addon that will make your workflow easier and faster. Personally, once I tried it, I find working without it quite tedious, of course you can only feel that way once you've used it, if you haven't tried it, you won't know what you're missing anyway. :)
No, for now it's not possible to do as easy as it is in Breakdance, to do same in Bricks will require extra addons for animation e.g. MotionPage or BricksForge.
@@MB-sl8pw For one who's more of a developer, Oxygen and Bricks will be more suited. They are more suited for complex sites and advanced layouts. E.g. you get more flexibility using a Oxygen repeater or Bricks query loop than you would with Breakdance loop builder. Unlike Breakdance, they both offer a class-first workflow. Breakdance on the other hand is completely different, the philosophy behind it may not be appreciated by core Bricks users. It has a preset-first workflow, the use of classes are kind of secondary and requires a few extra clicks to use. It's a lot faster to do some things, and a lot slower to do a few things. For most projects, it will be suitable to set up a website quickly with fantastic features like menu builder (actually the best menu builder I've seen yet), excellent WooCommerce integration (better than both Bricks' and Oxygen's), forms/APIs integrations, a great header builder, loop builder with features like alternate templates which allows you to have a more flexible layout in your loops, powerful global styles and presets etc., and well designed prebuilt elements and a near excellent implementation of Design Library feature.
Feedback on some parts of the video In a tutorial video I dont like to see experiments with unknown results. If you name the video something like "testing session" then I would suppose to see you testing. In a tutorial like this, where you explain features, I am expecting, that you did the trial and testing before the video and in the video itself you only show the proper results. That would be amazing and less time consuming when watching. Thats why last 10 minutes of this video are a waste of time imho.

Acf is turned off by default now i believe.

I'm wondering this too. The one thing that will probably make me go with the LTD is that it comes with ACF Pro, which I was also considering buying.
