I have one of these but I have trouble with the regular 8 film. The sprockets don't fit in the gear properly. I would assume you would need two different gears because the sprocket holes of the two films are not the same width.
I have a similar editor. On mine, I can pullout the sprocket assembly and switch it around. One side has sprockets for regular 8 and the other has sprockets for Super 8. I'm guessing yours does the same.
@@surfcollector i have the Goko NF2002, the sprocket looks exactly the same on the 912, but i can't get the sprocket to come out, it has a button in the middle that you can press in, but still it wont come out, any ideas?? thanks
i notice that you feed the film under the silver tab that can be pressed to release the film, i think you should actually feed the film above this tab as it holds the film in place and flat
You mark where the cut is to be with a white pencil and then use a cutter and splicer to actually cut the film and join the scenes together. You make a rough cut first, leaving extra frames so you don't cut too much. Take a look here: th-cam.com/video/IpWLLnJlw5k/w-d-xo.html (only use cotton gloves or you'll get fingerprints all over the film. You can also use cement instead of splicing tape but you need a different type of cutter/splicer: th-cam.com/video/7s_kB2_C668/w-d-xo.html (I can't vouch for the super glue though -- I only ever used film cement).
Hi guys, hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I just obtained some 7" reels and the ELMO model above. I set it up as shown and began viewing the first reel. it worked well as a movie - then for some reason the vision in the viewing screen changed to vertical not horizontal as I rolled the film. Now it shows like individual photos not film. Can anyone tell me what I've done wrong please? Peter
hey Peter, did you tought that maybe the person who record the film just rotate the camera for a vertical shot..? and also, just took 'pictures' with the film, which is a normal practice in 8mm world.. I think that could be, if you get to know who filmed that, could have some real responses..!
This is such an interesting project. Great work! We featured it in last week's episode of the Electomaker show.
It would be awesome if you submitted a build guide to our platform.
This is a dual-gauge editor so it will do standard 8 as well as super 8.
Perfect thank you😊
Bonjour, le film passe sur le haut de la bobine réceptrice, c'est me semble t'il le schéma sur le corps de la monteuse ?

Хороший монтажный столик.
Nice...

I have always a very dull orange like screen color and unable to see the film shots. all else is fine. How to fix please.
Where is the cutting?

What do you do when your real whole is smaller than the arm of the viewer?
hahahaha 🤣
