Great news letter. We're American and belong to a credit union. Instead of using a debit card to withdraw cash, we use our credit card to make a cash advance. This incurs no fee including no ATM fee on either end. We then go on line and immediately pay of the cash advance; usually incurring an interest charge of pennies. We only stayed with Maria for 1 night this time, she is so lovely 😊 There is a combination, some parts of the country are very rural and some parts are used for farmland. This type of Khachapuri is basically like a cheesy pizza (with cheese inside and on top), made from bread dough 😊 Thank you very much ❤️

Hi Mary, Our Georgian is actually really poor, we are speaking Russian here as many people, especially the older ones, speak it as a second language 😊 The young generation in Georgia speak English very well, especially in the big cities like Tbilisi, but, (really generalising here) anyone over the age 30ish generally has a better command of Russian than English, especially outside the cities, hope this helps 😊

It's always bemusing Europeans don't really enjoy drinking, though there are many alcoholics there. We drink from thr morning in Japan. Lunch with beer is fine during work hours. Different boring custom.
