I had the feeling there was a playback at the beginning or dos Eric still sounds as perfect as the original recording as of 1987 when I listened to the vinyl for the very first time. Please, excuse my question, I'm asking from my personal background as studio and PA guy doing mixing and mastering... nonetheless: Let's carry on! Forever! And happy holidays to all of you :*

It's the same for all those first generation bands. Maiden, Priest, Ozzy, Manowar, they're old people now. That is life. There is only one who doesn't want to get old...Alice...he's amazing.
Tragic that they are performing at such a poor level. You should know when to stop. This is truly awful :-( I saw them live in three different countries over 30 year period. To see them performing at this poor a level breaks my heart.
This was in Portugal, in a small town with a very, very small budjet Metal Festival. People from all over the country and other countries came to see them play. Now this Metal Festival has become known because of Manowar's presence! I was there (travelled 16h by bus) and it was a great, great Manowar show!! Manowar had dinner in a small school in that same town and it was the promotor's wife who cooked dinner for them (they had to wait for the kids to leave school). It was a Manowar's great attitude to come and help promote this festival Laurus Nobilis!
