Thank you. Another inspirational rendition. I always have to go pick up my guitar after watching one of your videos. I still can't keep my thumb moving, but I'll get there. Thanks for your help
I really enjoyed your take on this. The little differences from Travis were all really nice and brought your own feel, not something I always like but you pulled it off and it worked great. You're a fantastic picker!
@@Danlow23 - Did you get this version from Tablature? What is that chord after the C at 0.40 - I thought it should be a C7 but it doesn't look like C7?
@@Danlow23 - thank you so much - essentially I've been playing C, C7, F to B flat. I've heard quite a few variations. Your progression sounds better - all of your other chord formations sound great too - you've done such a great job!
Thanks Bernhard! I just go for things that sound good to my ear really. Sometimes the simpler chords sound right. Hit me up if you want any more little breakdowns 👍

Great arrangement and great performance! I’m a big fan, Good on Ya Mate! 🎶
Cheers Tom, my arrangement has morphed a bit over the years. I watch this occasionally and remind myself how I used to play it.

Thanks for that mate, Its impossible to copy Merle Travis anyway! I guess everyone has their own way of playing tunes. 👍
Fine playing !
Thankyou @greekflatpicker. I am going to redo a version my new Collings!

That chord is a c9th with a g for the bass and play the open high e string with it. I dont use tabs unless i am really stuck. 👍

Back and sides are solid wood?
Yes they are. Back and sides are mahogany and the top is sitka spruce. It has really started sounding better now after two years of playing it.
