good point by Basant sir. This is not uncommon. Promoters do that. Cook their books and pay taxes and increase share prices. And sell their shares at high prices. The point is that tax is paid by the company while the gain from selling the share goes directly to the promoter and big share holders. So all the gain is that of the promoters and their cronies while the loss is entirely of small share holders. They are left holding stock of companies bought at high prices and with large tax liabilities.
