my problem about the prices and taking away trading is that most the players in RL wont be able to enjoy these cars that come out, most the player base is 8-15 which cant legally cant get a job in most countries and they are making prices so high that parents dont want to pay $15-25 for a in game item. Trading is what made rocket league such a fun game so you didnt have to ask parents or take out your wallet for $15-20 for a single in game item instead you could have just gotten a few trades in then bam you have it.
I know the musty flicks are nerfed with this car, and it's objectively further back than the regular dominus, but would that fact mean front flip flicks would be slightly more powerful because you can get an extra touch with the back of the car?

This car feels completely off to me, I find it very hard to use. Flicks either go straight to the ceiling or get absolutely 0 power, flipping into the ball gives like 0 power and dribbles are a lot harder than usual with any other car I use. I just feel extremely nerfed when I use this car. But its lightning mcqueen 😭

For the front flicks more consistent flicks but almost all the best flicks like 45/musty etc are flicked using the front of the car that is now relatively shorter cuz the center of mass is closer to the front.

So in this case I don't think we lost out like you are saying and are going to make the devs afraid to continue experimentation. I think you should honestly remove this video for that reason as someone who was crying and moaning that there have been no changes for years. Finally theres a change and now there's a "problem". thats not the problem, the problem is that it costs money... and not a small amount, if they do this for every next release you might miss out on waht might be the next most popular hitbox, and if you pay for every DLC car in the shop you could easily be looking at 200$ a year or so, thats way too much, especially when they wont be releasing free versions of the hitboxes
Just because there's a change it doesn't mean it's automatically a good one or that I can't criticize it when I have wanted changes. This change is only making an existing hitbox objectively worse by making it relatively shorter. Yes I want them to do changes to the game but not just taking an old hitbox and either make it longer like F1 or shorter like McQueen because then they are pay to win/lose cars. That is indeed a problem and I covered this in the State of RL video where I said that if they release new hitboxes there needs to be free options to those.
He already criticised them for removing trading which is a bad change to the game and now when there's another one he needs to "pick a lane"? His opinions have been pretty consistent so far - stop the bad changes and improve the game - so it's weird you are trying to make him look like a hypocrite. @@JZR I will agree that for every "new style/modified" hitbox there should be a f2p version in such a competitive game at risk of them accidently creating a new META car that another commentor mentioned. I'm also aware that they modified a preexisting hitbox, I'm sure they did this to keep certain values the same like turn radius, jump height, axis aerial rotations and pivoting. In reality almost all the hitboxes are the same in this aspect besides height, width and length. I mean they are all just cubes after all... This isn't a bad move though. If it works as a better fit for the cars 3D model then modify it. Other cars with similar 3D models should also receive the modified hitbox as well, especially a F2p variation. My issue is that you are criticizing a change that was made without giving them a proper out other than to revert the change. The "out" should be to give a F2P variation to the hitbox car skin. Also although I agree that it may not be giving any competitive edge over the OG dom hitbox, it doesn't hurt to modify it because all they changed was the Y value of the cube. Similarly I believe a car like the Takumi should receive a modified Octane hitbox effectively making it smaller. I don't believe it would make it better but it would at least make more sense. Also giving us effectively more options to choose from.

You have to flick the ball with it more towards the back of the car. You can get some pretty crazy power on ypur flicks if you get the hang of it.

Kickoffs are center of mass based ye and the car spins around the same spot too which affects the flicks like musty's in a bad way
