Another possible progression, (the one I used), is to practise doing a thief vault running straight on towards the object and making the legs go "more forward" each time until you have something close to a dash vault. Then you have a very similar motion to a dash vault and from there you can attempt an actual dash vault.
This is really handy because I'm trying to learn the dash vault at the min and I'm just too scared to jump feet first so knowing all of these really helped! Thx Ronnie! :)

You should've said that you should jump pretty far away from the obstacle. This was the biggest problem I had. I thought you jumped centimetres from it. Good video Ronnie!

My internet is too bad to watch this vid but I do a one hand with the legs off to the side vault idk what it's called (safety I think?) into a dash I swing my legs forward and plant my other hand down and push I can't jump that high
So, I (think) I created a new trick. It's essentially a dropkick over an obstacle, but you put a hand down. You start sideways and end sideways. My instructor hadn't seen it before and called it a side dash. Have any of you seen/done this trick before, and is there a real name for this? Thanks.

also ronnie learned parkour just by getting a mattress like i said and just practiced for ages when i say ages i mean hours or the whole day if he could to get this acrobatic its hard but if you know its what you want to do train and try hard
