OK, if any of you are still new to this game or aren't really too familiar with how glitching thru a door works then here's one easy method you can all try... Hold up a plate, platter, or whatever that has a flat surface on it and then keep pressing it up against ANY door until you can see right thru to the room on the other side. Then while still holding the plate up against it like that, use the Whirlwind Sprint to instantly zip right thru it. Timing is everything, but I found out that this method is much easier for beginners to use tho. Expert glitchers could simply just walk or run thru doors/walls flawlessly, in just one or two tries. If you are about to go into a closed-off room with NO doors, or an enclosed area with a locked door that REQUIRES a certain key to open which you don't have, or has NO other possible exits on the other side; then make shure that you are carrying at least a few extra spare plates with you just in case you might lose the first plate right after going thru the door/wall or else you might end up getting STUCK on the other side of it FOREVER and can't ever get yourself back out again. Always SAVE your game first before you ever attempt to glitch thru any door or wall!
It actually boils down to Skyrim's base physics engine, so it's never going to be patched. Basically, you're allowed to clip through clutter items so you don't get stuck in them, and the game shunts you out of the other side, increasing your speed by a ridiculous amount. When you're using a flat object on a flat surface, you can shove yourself through the clipping of the surface of whatever you're running up against. Honestly, I use it to access certain shop chests and enter the Dwarven lifts in ruins to just jump either straight into the treasure rooms or as a fast way into Blackreach

Dude, you are a life saver. I missed the axe with fire soul trap and all the doors lock after you have left. I had trouble with the barred door but it worked with the stealth roll and let me unbar the door. You rock.
@@OtomoTenzi yeah i noticed a while after commenting. it just didn't work through a wall i needed to get through in a specific ruin. it was a expansion quest that had pressure plates in it that bugged then there was a secret door that was supposed to open but this glitch didn't. this wouldn't work through that door

For some of you who may be having MAJOR troubles trying to glitch thru certain stubborn doors (especially multi-layered gates or doors with those claw puzzles on them). The gates outside of Castle Volkihar are one such nightmare when trying to bust in. Depending on the format or firmware version; lotsa people were having a hard time with that one. Just keep in mind, that you can also try it on the walls right next to (or adjacent) to the doors/gates. In most cases, that will make things ALOT easier!

Bro to this day the glitch still works to this day I was struggling to open shroud barrow even after doing the 30 day waiting in-game it didn't ......Until i checked your video, not gonna lie it took me some tries to penetrate my way with wirlwind sprint😢😢

Whirlwind sprint makes a great addition and more easier to accomplish. Kilkreath, when I got finished and forgot to get the word of power and all the gold from the corpses. It took about ten tries. Sorry I told it a little wrong. The word of power is not in the ruin. I had to get back through the door because I thought I was missing a word. But I did collect about 1000 gold that I passed up. So if you are going through the quest. Make sure you clean the rooms before you pick up the dawnbreaker from the pedistule. If you don't. You have to use the trick in the video. Whirlwind sprint works with a troll skull. Take a basket or platter or something like that with you. You have to go back out the door the same way.
Dudes! Switch version bucket glitch confirmed! 🤣 I actually had this issue where I was in Apocrypha (Black book - Untold Legends) Chapter V. In the hallway before the Black book, there's 2 side paths and both where supposed to be completed before accessing the Black book. Guess I whipped the first Lurker so bad, his buddy locked the other gate! 🤭 Btw, I used a kettle with Whirlwind Sprint! I'm currently doing a Legacy of the Dragonborn playthrough, and I really wanted to get Ysgramor's Armor set inside Ysgramor's Tomb early. Problem is that I haven't joined The Companions yet. I used this exact glitch to get through, and oh boy, was it awesome.
You are too right. I had to restart when my lvl 59 guy got stuck behind a key needed door and i had no save. Now on my new character i always have at least 5 buckets
on the dawn star thing, I actually fell through the floor randomly in the master bedroom and fell into that cavern. so maybe check the room for a vulnerability
Use a bug to counter a bug. I had a quest where I had to find a body that pointed toward the ocean and at the real location the Body was missing. This helped me bypass the quest and get into a room (reward)
You can skip all of the massive alftand dungeon to get the elder scroll using this method Edit: though you still have to go through blackreach :( and pick a master lock also don't forget to fus Ro da the big yellow orb thing in black reach and kill the secret dragon. You have to be quite close to the orb for the dragon to spawn in. A bell should ring then the dragon will spawn shortly after.)
@@lostliberty9913 any door that doesn’t use a load screen. Eg… it doesn’t work for the main door into whiterun because you load into that. However does work for the whispering lady door in dragonreach dungeon because you don’t load into that. Hope that wasn’t to complicated 👍
@@OminousOwl2 It can but its easier on by to tap (~) the enter TCL in the line and press (Enter) then repress (~), then go through the object and repeat process above to become solid again. TCL = Toggle Clipping, meaning turn off physical barrier so you pass through everything, Does not mess with Achievements if you are worried about that.
You can also get through any door in the game by aggroing an npc and making him follow you to the door and the npc will automatically open the door every single time.

Hey guys, guess what? I tried it on a multilayered door while I was in the Nchardak Aqueducts, and got STUCK right in the middle between the 2 brass-colored, gate-like doors... I was hardly even able to move or take out a plate from my inventory, and use it get back out. I could clearly see into the room or hallway on the other side of the doors, but just can't ever manage to get thru it even after multiple tries; and believe me I am VERY familiar with how the 'plate trick' works by now. Had to reload a save. I guess it's just one of those doors that simply lead to NOWHERE??? 🤔
Unfortunately it doesn't work well with Multi-layered items like some of the gate doors, I always get stuck inside of them so have to go through a wall to get to other side.
Nobody Gaming I recently used the bucket to get through the gates in Apocrypha in the fifth chapter in the black book Untold Legends after the doors wouldn’t open after killing the lurkers, had to do with the mods on my PS4 i believe
i had 3 followers in the dawnbreaker quest, and the last door locks itself, but you get warped out, so if you tell them to wait here, there's nothing you can do, so thank you.
I’m a little late but does this work on ps4? I’m trying to get through the locked gate in Nelthor’s house after the reluctant steward quest got bugged.
Does anyone know if this works on the dark wizards door that lives in the giant mushroom? The steward is completely out of bounds and I can’t get to her, this is my last option and it has not worked for me
@@nucleusdanklyus5776 took a few tries, but yes it does. You may want a couple more baskets in your inventory because you can get stuck in between the two doors. Just drop the second basket out your and do the glitch again while stuck between the doors.
BTW, are you talkin' about that room where he stores all his enchanting stuff and has a workbench that allows you to create staffs? I got inside of there on the first time I visited his place, so it should work for shure!
For a 304 you seem unsure about how to do the glitch considering that like me you probably remember most of the glitches in the game and it works well with plates and bowls
Tried it for 30 mins with different object didn't work. I'm on an Xbox 1s in high rock on you of the beyond skyrim mods like bruma but in high rock trying to go through a sewer a glitch has a bared gate door locked thats not supposed to be lock like I said tried your trick for 30 mins didn't do anything but take a lil hp from me. I can't go the other way and avoid being trapped because the door won't open and I have to be in that area to start the mission with the evidence I find. So I'm flustered and don't know what to do
Van you do this on ps4 im stuck on the other side of the first door in mzulft where you talk to the guy for the quest and the key to get threw said door and it bugged out and spawned me on other side of it so now im trapped in mzulft
@@NobodyGamingEntertainment ya iv been using the crown and ritual stone trick foe this playthrew and after a bit i got some mods to make it a bit better, aka now guys last 10 days and i have a larger radius, and now when i go into places with them it puts me a good bit away from the door lol. In mzulft it would teleport me to just before the door to the boiler room actually. And when i realized the quest guy was behind a locked door and found out i had now saves before mzulft other then one from like 5 days prior, i got a little worried so this trick totally saved my game. 👊 thanks again man.
The blade quest bug has got me going nuts 😠.. on xbox one..It don't let us pick platters, baskets etc like that.. Please can someone help me get out of this tomb
its easier to do the console commands; 1. Press the ~ button to open the command console. 2. Type in: TCL (Stands for Toggle Clipping) and press enter. 3. Press ~ again to turn off console command. 4. walk through object. 5. Repeat steps 1, 2, and 3 to turn off clipping and continue with the game. Hope this helps :)
how are people able to do this?! i just can't do it no matter what i do! i'm playing special edition on PC, maybe this specific release of the game doesn't work? whatever the reason is, this isn't possible for me, so if anyone has any ideas please help me.
For PC it is easier to hit the [~] button, then type in TCL (This turns clipping off), then hit the [~] button again and walk through the area you want, repeat to turn clipping back on.
it should depending on the design, if it is a multilayered or thick door than more than likely you cannot do this trick, but if thin and not a multilayer then you should be able to.
If it fails to work, then you can always try it on the walls that are directly adjacent or next to it... Same also goes for other kinds of doors that are magically sealed, barred from the other side, or require a special key. In MOST cases, that has worked for me!
I'm trying a level 1 build and I'm trying to do the dark brotherhood. Can I use this glitch to clip into a another loading zone? Like the aretino residence?
@@amirazlan1579 as long as you do not accidentally push up in the menu to level up, you should be good, but if your trying not to level up a single skill and beat the game, then that is impossible since fighting, sneaking, talking are a few you have to do ingame to win, just do not level up the Skill tree (Or you will end up leveling your character). I forget what the mod is called, but there is one that actually stops the leveling process to keep the game more realistic when it comes to the higher level monsters.
@@NobodyGamingEntertainment nah, it's completely possible, I haven't leveled a skill yet. You just don't sneak, you pick khajit, have the Lord stone, and use werewolf and/or vampire Lord. Ymfah has done a video on it. He's a great TH-camr, should check him out if you haven't already
Anybody know if this works on dragon claw doors? I got stuck and somehow don't have the ivory claw when I did and can't get through the door. I've been trying to plate glitch it for a bit now and no luck. Wondering if I'm wasting time on them
Those doors are multi-layered and so almost impossible to do this glitch with, but you can try the walls next to it or try going through the exit door instead.
@@NobodyGamingEntertainment I'm doing the quest to reforge the gaulder amulet. I got through the emerald claw but I can't get past the ivory one. I've tried walls, I went back to the original location of the claw, it shouldn't have been able to leave inventory.

No, it can't ever be patched cuz it's permanently part of the game's structure... I'm on the 360 version and can confirm to you that it works on just about ANY door or wall. Just keep trying and eventually you'll get thru. If the wall actually leads to NOWHERE then it'll automatically drop you right back at where you started, so no worries!

You can also get through any door in the game by aggroing an npc and making him follow you to the door and the npc will automatically open the door every single time.

Hey guys, guess what? I tried it on a multilayered door while I was in the Nchardak Aqueducts, and got STUCK right in the middle between the 2 brass-colored, gate-like doors... I was hardly even able to move or take out a plate from my inventory, and use it get back out. I could clearly see into the room or hallway on the other side of the doors, but just can't ever manage to get thru it even after multiple tries; and believe me I am VERY familiar with how the 'plate trick' works by now. Had to reload a save. I guess it's just one of those doors that simply lead to NOWHERE??? 🤔
Still works in anniversary edition!
I've tried it with wooden plates and i think it works better because you just have to keep running to get in, instead of trying ovev and over

You can also use weapons. Daggers are possible, but obviously bigger weapons work better.
With whirlwind sprint this works 9 out of 10 times super easy
You can also use a bucket to get thru thiccer walls as well
Unfortunately it doesn't work well with Multi-layered items like some of the gate doors, I always get stuck inside of them so have to go through a wall to get to other side.
Nobody Gaming I recently used the bucket to get through the gates in Apocrypha in the fifth chapter in the black book Untold Legends after the doors wouldn’t open after killing the lurkers, had to do with the mods on my PS4 i believe
i had 3 followers in the dawnbreaker quest, and the last door locks itself, but you get warped out, so if you tell them to wait here, there's nothing you can do, so thank you.

@@nucleusdanklyus5776 took a few tries, but yes it does. You may want a couple more baskets in your inventory because you can get stuck in between the two doors. Just drop the second basket out your and do the glitch again while stuck between the doors.

BTW, are you talkin' about that room where he stores all his enchanting stuff and has a workbench that allows you to create staffs? I got inside of there on the first time I visited his place, so it should work for shure!
For a 304 you seem unsure about how to do the glitch considering that like me you probably remember most of the glitches in the game and it works well with plates and bowls

Tried it for 30 mins with different object didn't work. I'm on an Xbox 1s in high rock on you of the beyond skyrim mods like bruma but in high rock trying to go through a sewer a glitch has a bared gate door locked thats not supposed to be lock like I said tried your trick for 30 mins didn't do anything but take a lil hp from me. I can't go the other way and avoid being trapped because the door won't open and I have to be in that area to start the mission with the evidence I find. So I'm flustered and don't know what to do

This glitch is so broken you can literally skip entire dungeons
Unless ya NEED the loot, of course... I find it especially useful whenever I need to escape a dungeon very quickly! 👍

Van you do this on ps4 im stuck on the other side of the first door in mzulft where you talk to the guy for the quest and the key to get threw said door and it bugged out and spawned me on other side of it so now im trapped in mzulft

@@NobodyGamingEntertainment ya iv been using the crown and ritual stone trick foe this playthrew and after a bit i got some mods to make it a bit better, aka now guys last 10 days and i have a larger radius, and now when i go into places with them it puts me a good bit away from the door lol. In mzulft it would teleport me to just before the door to the boiler room actually. And when i realized the quest guy was behind a locked door and found out i had now saves before mzulft other then one from like 5 days prior, i got a little worried so this trick totally saved my game. 👊 thanks again man.

How do you get into the front door of Dawnstar Sanctuary. I eliminated the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary near Falkreath.
If your on PC you can use console commands, but if on console then maybe the secret back entrance?, I will have to test
Can't seem to get this to work on PC for the life of me
its easier to do the console commands;
1. Press the ~ button to open the command console.
2. Type in: TCL (Stands for Toggle Clipping) and press enter.
3. Press ~ again to turn off console command.
4. walk through object.
5. Repeat steps 1, 2, and 3 to turn off clipping and continue with the game.

An easier and more convenient way to do this on pc is by typing tcl into the command console. (~)

how are people able to do this?! i just can't do it no matter what i do! i'm playing special edition on PC, maybe this specific release of the game doesn't work? whatever the reason is, this isn't possible for me, so if anyone has any ideas please help me.
For PC it is easier to hit the [~] button, then type in TCL (This turns clipping off), then hit the [~] button again and walk through the area you want, repeat to turn clipping back on.

it should depending on the design, if it is a multilayered or thick door than more than likely you cannot do this trick, but if thin and not a multilayer then you should be able to.

Why do they not work for me?
I'm trying a level 1 build and I'm trying to do the dark brotherhood. Can I use this glitch to clip into a another loading zone? Like the aretino residence?
Loading doors are based on opening (With exception to open cave/mine doors), so unfortunately no.
Man that sucks, it's cool tho. I can open the novice door without progressing to the next lockpick level
@@amirazlan1579 as long as you do not accidentally push up in the menu to level up, you should be good, but if your trying not to level up a single skill and beat the game, then that is impossible since fighting, sneaking, talking are a few you have to do ingame to win, just do not level up the Skill tree (Or you will end up leveling your character).
I forget what the mod is called, but there is one that actually stops the leveling process to keep the game more realistic when it comes to the higher level monsters.
@@NobodyGamingEntertainment nah, it's completely possible, I haven't leveled a skill yet. You just don't sneak, you pick khajit, have the Lord stone, and use werewolf and/or vampire Lord. Ymfah has done a video on it. He's a great TH-camr, should check him out if you haven't already
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention staves and scrolls don't advance the skill at all

Anybody know if this works on dragon claw doors? I got stuck and somehow don't have the ivory claw when I did and can't get through the door. I've been trying to plate glitch it for a bit now and no luck. Wondering if I'm wasting time on them
Those doors are multi-layered and so almost impossible to do this glitch with, but you can try the walls next to it or try going through the exit door instead.
@@NobodyGamingEntertainment I'm doing the quest to reforge the gaulder amulet. I got through the emerald claw but I can't get past the ivory one. I've tried walls, I went back to the original location of the claw, it shouldn't have been able to leave inventory.
Push a plate up against it, back up just a step and Whirlywind Shout thru it... See if that works?

This patched?? Won’t work
No, it can't ever be patched cuz it's permanently part of the game's structure... I'm on the 360 version and can confirm to you that it works on just about ANY door or wall. Just keep trying and eventually you'll get thru. If the wall actually leads to NOWHERE then it'll automatically drop you right back at where you started, so no worries!
