For Zhu Zan and Jiu Ling, you could really feel the sense of relief from her to have Zhu Zan back by her side again. And just the way he wipes away her tears...🥺🥰 Their kiss was so passionate and intense... they put all of their longing and yearning for each other into that kiss. It was so intense that he smeared her lipstick all over their faces.🤭😊

Ning Yunzhao plays the perfect courtesan in this drama !!! He can be reassuring the Emperor with his sugary and flattering words and, on the other hand , he has never ceased to help Jiu Ling in her quest to dethrone that impostor, murderer of her father the previous Emperor. Despite the fact that Jiu Ling has refused him several times , Yunzhao has not let her down : a faithful friend is invaluable indeed.
Ning Yunzhao is one of my favourite 2nd male leads. His proposal to Lu Yunqi at 14:35 onwards to work together to protect Jiu Ling *chef's kiss* " You can't help her. What about the two of us then?" YESSSS!!! Mr. Ning is ALWAYS thinking of the best way to support Jiu Ling and to support the building of a just society despite his heart being broken. Love his character!! Best type of guy!

there's another drama as well, which is same as this siblings, fighting each other and no hatred. even though they new that the other heroine wasn't their real daughter/sister. you should watch it too.
Really love the female lead. Beautiful, poised, courages, witty and intelligent! It took me quite a few episodes to realize she's the same actress as in "Goodbye My Princess". I can't tell it was her just by the appearance, because she acts so different in this series. Think they probably have remade her look somehow and it works perfectly for her!

Excellent film, Superb acting by the Emperor, Lord Cheng, Minister lu, and the entire cast. Never thought I would say it but the hated lu yunqi redeemed himself in this role. Superb acting. We saw Chengyu grow from a boy to a man fighting conflicting emotions. But the icing on the cake was the two leads, total chemistry between them. In this last scene Zan excelled in acting skills. In fact both Zan and Juiling made this historical drama into an epic love story. ZHU ZAN! ZHU ZAN!!👏👏👏. On tender hooks waiting the finale!!! 39 delivered 40 has to WOW!!!! Excellent job!!!!
I'm at a loss for words ..what an episode ..tense .exciting .dramatic and more words that escape me right now . I choked up from the start with the doors of the city finally giving way at the same time the Fang sister and the rest of the women and residents arriving to push it back into safety ...the carnage of solders dead on the ground in the aftermath to Zan Zhe arrival .Jiuling fainting and her waking up to him and her sister and brother 😍 how could ANYONE say Jin Han is not the right person for that role ..his expression before Jun awakes to him nodding to her that it was time to reveal who she was ..WOW.. And the scenes after ...what brilliant writing casting acting and directing...( The scene shot of the 2 on the bridge before the confession and kiss..the camera was shaking!!) I really think of all dramas I've seen to date this is #1.👍👍👍👍👍💚💚💚💙💙💙💙 LOVE this drama to pieces.... And I thought The Long Ballad was great until this came along

I think the age difference spooked Dilraba ..but there was chemistry ..the tension and later friendship developed ..there doesn't need to be kissing scenes to project love ..
That kiss scene was epic, I could see the cameraman just going around the couple with the camera to capture every angle of that kiss, awesome, and then the lipstick smear, make it even more believable!

I haven't loathed a King as much as I have loathed Chu Rang. He's a lot of negative things including cowardly. His 'clown acting' brother is a way better person than him in so many ways. He even stayed behind and fought.

Not a moment of dullnes in this drama, but yet again it was present in a fluid but intense manner. I must say the story telling of this drama had always being perfect with its presentation as it will not drag for longer episodes like some drama did. It was great to witness Zhu Zan's timely arrival to save Jiu ling in a heroic manner, for those who wonder why Jiu ling needed to continuously beating the drum , it was a military drill for traditional chinese armies who apply the drum beat as indicator of war, prince Xian in earlier episode had said everyone must continue to fight till the drum stop, hence without beating of drum it would meant the battle had lost. It was a nice plot for Jiu ling to trick the emperor return to capital by designing an excuse to give him credits, so this was a direct confrontation for jiu ling since she don't want to drag on the issue. I would assume Jiu ling won't exactly knew the consequences of her action or the emperor's plan to kill her.. Luckily for everyone, YunQi and Mr Ning had allied themselves, i would give this credit to Mr Ning as he was the one who take swift action to talk to YunQi, without him i am not sure how YunQi will act Hence i think everyone on Jiu Ling's side already got the news prior to the meeting with Emperor, and they play accordingly. One reason jiu ling didn't bother to hide her disgust on the emperor anymore, and how Prince Xian brought Minister Wang in the mix of time. Oh.. forget to mention the lovely scene between Jiu ling and Zhu zan ， it had once again emphasis on Jiu ling's true feeling on her loved one by declaring it was Zhu zan who she always think of since he depart from the capital💕
I also wasn't sure if Yunqi would really carry out the order. Looks like he needs people to encourage him in the right direction. Maybe he wasn't sure if Jiuling could win so he was continuing to align himself with power.

And since Zhu zan will be there , it is unpredictable what he will do if Mr Ning didn't form an early alliance. Things will be messy without early planning for sure But my instinct tell me that, YunQi won't kill jiu ling no matter what.

Not a moment of dullnes in this drama, but yet again it was present in a fluid but intense manner.
I must say the story telling of this drama had always being perfect with its presentation as it will not drag for longer episodes like some drama did.
It was great to witness Zhu Zan's timely arrival to save Jiu ling in a heroic manner, for those who wonder why Jiu ling needed to continuously beating the drum , it was a military drill for traditional chinese armies who apply the drum beat as indicator of war, prince Xian in earlier episode had said everyone must continue to fight till the drum stop, hence without beating of drum it would meant the battle had lost.
It was a nice plot for Jiu ling to trick the emperor return to capital by designing an excuse to give him credits, so this was a direct confrontation for jiu ling since she don't want to drag on the issue.
I would assume Jiu ling won't exactly knew the consequences of her action or the emperor's plan to kill her.. Luckily for everyone, YunQi and Mr Ning had allied themselves, i would give this credit to Mr Ning as he was the one who take swift action to talk to YunQi, without him i am not sure how YunQi will act
Hence i think everyone on Jiu Ling's side already got the news prior to the meeting with Emperor, and they play accordingly. One reason jiu ling didn't bother to hide her disgust on the emperor anymore, and how Prince Xian brought Minister Wang in the mix of time.
Oh.. forget to mention the lovely scene between Jiu ling and Zhu zan ， it had once again emphasis on Jiu ling's true feeling on her loved one by declaring it was Zhu zan who she always think of since he depart from the capital💕
I also wasn't sure if Yunqi would really carry out the order. Looks like he needs people to encourage him in the right direction. Maybe he wasn't sure if Jiuling could win so he was continuing to align himself with power.

And since Zhu zan will be there , it is unpredictable what he will do if Mr Ning didn't form an early alliance.
Things will be messy without early planning for sure
But my instinct tell me that, YunQi won't kill jiu ling no matter what.
