IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please ALWAYS use resin with proper precautions including wearing proper PPEs (glove, mask, respirator etc) AND working in a well ventilated space. I recommend getting a hold of the SDS (Safety Data Sheet) info that every resin company has available to the public (by law). This is such a great alternative to ordering hundreds of enamel pins when you only wanted a custom design for yourself. Your videos are easy to follow, relaxing, and the pin is so high quality. I'm glad you put so much effort into your work, it really shows.
Agreed now we can try different styles and stuff!
Not me soaking up your videos after making shrink plastic pins for the past 6 hours 🙈😂 you got me addicted, thank you so much for sharing your creativity with us ❤️
These are great. So much work involved, I won't question pricing on these type things again
The best uv resin pin video I've seen. They are incredible!! (and the attention to every detail...wow!)
Those are adorable but also little works of art. I love them. Thanks for sharing!
This is so cute. I love watching you do these resin projects, especially since you don’t talk through the whole video. Thanks for sharinh.

Thank you for the tutorial….very pretty and it was perfect 👍
You are an amazing artist!
I love using shrink plastic but i just never know what size to make the original before it shrinks. Mine are always too big or too small. These are adorable
These are so cute
Love this design 💓
Super cute, as always!! ❤️
Love it! Such cute ideas!
These pins are amazing! Thank you for inspiring
Hello!! I recently discovered your channel (about an hour ago!) and I’m taking a chance to see if I could find out where you got your cat images please? They’re adorable! Love your tutorials!
So cute and beautiful! 😍😍😸
I loved your work!! 💗
So pretty! How long does it take to make one pin?
Incredible like always ^^
Purrfect 🐱
So cute.
This is sooooooo cute
Beautiful ❣️
So freakin adorable
Do you have the ca glue you used linked anywhere? When I looked it up on Amazon there were so many different ones and they said for wood so I was confused. Your craft is absolutely beautiful. You are so talented!
Love it!
Cute cute cuteeee!
So lovely!!
when you paint the edges, is there any concern of the paint chipping off or wearing away? i know they don't get glazed or resin on them, but since I'm doing keychains, they're sure to be exposed to some abrasive environments (pockets, bags along with other stuff in the bag rubbing against it etc). would it be a good idea to use a small paint brush to lightly brush the edges with resin?
Your work is fantastic and your tips have helped me very much. The ca glue works great for the pins but I would like to glue a shrink plastic piece that I've painted and sealed with resin on both sides to a fabric ribbon. Would you know what type of glue would work best for this? I'd be making lined hair clips.l Thanks so much!
Thank you! You have two options for your project. You can use hot glue or e6000. Just make sure to sand the surface to roughen it up so the glue adheres better
U take making.stuff with shrink plastic to another level 👏🏻💜
I want to ask if the resin will peel off because u you mentioned that in one of your videos
Thank you! Not for the printable ones since it has a special coating. I explain it in my how to print on shrink plastic video
Thank you
Cute!👍
These are beautiful, very relaxing to watch!! Question - can you use epoxy resin OK? For some reason, my UV resin always comes out sticky :
Yes of course. I only used uv resin because I only had one piece to dome. Usually I use 2part resin
May I ask what butane torch you use? Most of the ones I see are big and bulky and yours seems perfect in the hand
I use a pen torch
Love the pins! So cute! I ordered the lapel pin findings through the link you provided, but when they got here, I didn't realize it was only the backs. Do you have the pin part you glued on that you would recommend using? :)
How long do you keep the pins in the resin curing machine for each round?
Your work is outstanding!! Could you please tell me what sizes you used here? Before and after baking? Thankyou!!
Thank you! Around 3-4 inches. I have a tip for sizing on my shrink plastic for beginners video!
@@AmyMade Thankyou so much! I will go check that out!
Loved it! What size are the kitties when you print them?
Thanks! They’re around 3 inch. I have a video on shrink plastic for beginners where I talk about tips on figuring out the sizing of your artwork 👍🏻
Love the galaxy theme upgrade! Do you add resin to the side of the charm or just all purpose paint? Doesn’t that chip after a while?
Thanks! I didn’t add resin to the sides. The paint hasn’t chipped so far
What kind of printer can take thick card stock?
So cute ❤ how did you make the signature at the back of the pin?
I made a sticker
Do you direct printing into the shrink plastic? What ink did you use? ☺️ thank you for your generous tutorial
I mentioned in the video about a video where I talk more in-depth about that. Please check the description box.
Hi, I have quick question. I received different side of paper, one seems clear and other side is matted. Which side should I print? Thank you.
I saw you had commented on another shrink plastic video about the resin peeling off, but that was quite some time ago. Does putting resin on both sides make it so that there is not peeling off of the resin from the shrink plastic? It looks pretty solid now :)
The Grafix printables have a special coating on the plastic so the resin doesn’t peel off. Resin will peel off of uncoated plastic so it needs to be sealed with a sealer before the resin coating
@@AmyMade You are my lifesaver! I bought the Graffix and am making jewelry but wanted to coat them properly and wanted to make sure I was using the right sealant. I will just use the resin on both sides. :)
wait though ive seen a few videos and many people talking about how resin pops off of shrink plastic over time :((( idk what to seal with ugh lol
Update: saw other comments that you are using a printable sheet that has a sealant on it to help resin stick better! still dont know what to seal unsealed shrink plastic with before resin though lol
When I started making shrink plastic videos a few years ago, no one was taking about it. Now, I’m sure it’s a common knowledge. You don’t need to seal printable shrink plastic because it has a special coating over the plastic. But regular shrink plastic, You need to. You can seal with decopage medium or spray sealer, depending on what color medium you used.
Too freaking cute! Did you make the cat yourself or buy it somewhere? I would love to make one of these for each of my cats!
Thank you! Yes, I drew the cat 🐱
Thanks for the great video! Looks amazing! I'm just wondering how do you make your little branding tag that goes in the resin on the back?
It’s just a foiled sticker I made using laser printer and deco foil!
@@AmyMade genius!
@@AmyMade do you have a video on how to do that?
No Since I just used tutorials I found on TH-cam!
Super cute!! How long does your resin take to cure. I have the SunUV 36w and my resin stays tacky even after a 10+ minute cure.
2 minutes for me. Try putting you tacky piece in a translucent cup with water and cure under the light.
Oh wow never would've thought about that. I'll try that for sure 😃. Thank you
@@AmyMade thanks for that tip!
The water trick absolutely worked, it took away all the tackiness. However it worked so well that all the smudges i left behind were revealed, that's what i get for not wearing gloves. They still look good at one angle though. Good thing they aren't for sale.
The music is giving me the movie Interstellar vibe
Me encanta lo que no encuentro es una hoja retráctil que sirva
Wait I saw you went straight to resin after painting and cleaning, do we not need to do a coat of a sealant before resin with printable shrinky dink?
no need with printable since they have a special coating. The resin sticks well to the coating
Hello. Is biristol paper?
I have 2 questions:
How to prevent shrink paper from deform?
How to to prevent resin UV to get a sticky finish?
Watch my RECENT short video on sticky uv resin and watch my shrink plastic for beginners video for shrink plastic
Just wondering how do u actually print on the plastic 😂🤣 do they need diff ink or special printer?
How far should my family be from me when I do resin? How far can I be from my project without a mask?
Do you use a specific brand of paint, or just any multi surface paint?
I use tamiya or folk art multi surface paint
Hi. Can any printer work for this project? ❤Thank you
I'm confused. So when do you have to seal a piece before resin? And what's best to seal it? 🙈
Don’t need to seal it fir this one specifically .Watch my how to
Print on shrink plastic video. I explain it there
@@AmyMade thanks! I'll check it again. At this point I've watched almost every shrink plastic video you (and crafty TH-cam) have and information is getting messy on my mind 😅😅
Does anyone know if for the UV torch to flash cure a bit during the process you can just get any of those from Amazon or does it need to be a specific one? The ones I saw available all were super weak but if it's just for flash curing and not the final curing I guess this might be enough?
Uv light torch is only good for flash curing. You need an actual nail curing lamp for the final cure
How big did you print them?
What’s CA glue? And where can you get one?
Cyanoacrylate glue (aka super glue, crazy glue)
Ohhhh what did you use for your name at the back? 🙀
Foiled sticker!
@@AmyMade Lovely! Do you have any tutoria on how to make those too?
Can I use the UV light with epoxy resin?
Yes if it’s uv curable resin
What did you use to apply your name on the back?
Foiled sticker
😻😻😻
What was the original size 🤔?
Around 3 inch
😻😻😻🙏🏽
Why do you glue it on and resin the pin down? Why not just resin it?
Because uv light needs to penetrate through an object for the resin to cure. You’ll end up with uncured resin under the finding; uv resin is not meant to be used as a glue unless you’re using transparent/translucent parts. I like to glue it down first so it won’t move around while I apply the resin
@@AmyMade thank you.
