Collyer played as a CB/CDM and CM, while Frenkie played very different for Ten Hag during his Ajax period. Frenkie didnt have a Defensive CM role back at Ajax and Koeman didn't get him at Barca for that role, the reason he plays as Defensive CM and sometimes as an extra CB is because Xavi didnt like Frenkie and Frenkie changed himself so that Xavi would allow him to play at the club he loves most.
