An Interview with Tahira Sra ~ Pendu Australia Episode 251 ~ Mintu Brar

Pendu Australia team is in Pakistan. Here we met Punjabi Poet Baba Nazmi. He shared his life journey. How he became poet and how he promoted Punjabi poetry in all over the world. He also shared his future plans about Punjabi poetry and literature. After that on the second day we met Nasir Dhillon from Punjabi Lehar TV. He shared his experience about the Social work in Pakistan. He is finding the loved one who got separated in 1947 from both sides and arrange their meeting. Next day we went to Nankana Sahib. Here we visited Nankana Sahib Gurudwara. Also we met mata Taran Kaur who is living here from last 52 year and doing Sewa in Gurudwara Nankana sahib. We got to know how sikhs lives in Pakistan. Who was there is Nankana Sahib Gurudwara after 1947 partition. How many sikhs comes to Pakistan to celebrate Guru Nanak Dev Ji's Gurpurab in Nankana Sahib. We also visited Gurudwara Kartarpur Sahib Pakistan. Here Prime Minister Imran khan and Navjot Singh Sidhu started that corridor. After that we visited Maharaja Ranjit Singh's Fort in Lahor. It has great history of sikh empire. Also we saw Lahor's Sahi Chauburji. After that we visited Gurdwara Dehra sahab and got to know the history of this Gurdwara. We visited Hasan Abdal, Gurdwara Panja Sahib.Also the historical Sikh history related railway station in Hasan Abdal. Here we saw so many things related to Maharaja Ranjit singh. Maharaja Ranjit Singh was best ruler of the world. Britishers was saying his kingdom is 50 years ahead than British rule. After that we visited Kasur city and her ewe met Babu Rajab Ali's Grand daughter Bibi Rehana . She shared Babu Rajab Ali's Life after partition. Babu Rajab Ali's Family still missing their village in India and they still says that we belongs to Sahoke dist. Moga in Punjab India. We met Poetess Tahira Sra. She shared her Punjabi poetry experience and also she read her famous poems like Pehli gal ke sari galti meri nahi. . Please watch this episode and share your views in the comments section.

Please post Tahira's poem, "pehli gal ta sari galti meri nahi" and her boliyan. Tahira spoke beautiful "nirol"
Punjabi and highlighted a writer's plight. I wish some body sings her poetry and make it available to a wider audience. Mintu ji, you are doing great sewa to our language and people. Most people associate Punjabi with abusive language, like I heard somebody comment that pakistani punjabis speak Urdu and abuse in Punjabi.
