Okay this episode was your best, I know you didn't get many views on this but damn this was good. Also i hope you see this comment because if you don't it means absolutely nothing. I really want you to get more subs but the thing is that if you do I'm scared that this podcast will stop and SNG will become mainstream and become as silly as AIB. Ive seen you guys since Karan Talwar featured on the original soundcloud podcast of AIB (episode 2). So I'm proud of you guys. Please make more serious podcasts because the new generation needs this.

Artificial Intelligence is a cause of concern. But it is the data that we give the system that powers the AI revolution. We should be worrying about what the companies do with data and then have legislation on how data can be used. If we dont regulate that we may have black mirror very soon

Another thing you should worry about is accumulated wealth of top 100 richest people is increasing every year. That means someone is loosing money, and population is increasing every year

Water shortage problem can be overcome with technology. Also, the human population seems huge but earth is a big planet and we occupy a very small area of it. Problem is we're densely populated in those areas and that creates resource scarcity. I hope these two shouldn't be problems in the long run.

Just to clarify, Arya Bhat was not a mathematician. He was an Astronomer. He didn't invent zero. People say that Baraha Mihira or Bhaskaracharya invented zero. But that's not true too. Nobody invented zero. It's just that Indian mathematicians used to calculate big numbers using a concept of Zero when the other civilizations couldn't even think about. It's similar to what we write today like 10^x. So they created a way of expressing big numbers.
Absolutely love it when SnG goes into these deep topics! However , I hope they can maintain a balance between serious and light topics. :)

Climate change isn't merely melting of polar caps. Most of worlds food crops would stop growing. Some viruses and other pathogens which don't spread that easily now, would thrive. It would wreak havoc on the world's biodiversity. We aren't the only ones living here you know.
Good point on Germany, switzerland and having lived here for the last 6 years is another good example of productivity and quality of life.

Brilliant episode! Especially the AI part! I mean, in the end, no matter how advanced AI can get, it can never generate a conscientious. And that is one of the major obstacle.

I just loved the fact that they took A.I. seriously and ignored that aliens actually exist just because it's represented by india tv and ancient aliens in an absurd way! Please watch a documentary on netflix, its called unacknowledged, it has all the P.I. of military generals, air marshals and what not. U'll know the facts.

And speaking of climate change it isn't going to happen one day all of a sudden. We are seeing its effects every day. Example; Changing monsoon patterns in the subcontinent, intensified storms, droughts, and our atmospheric CO2 going up day by day.

Another thing we should worry is that we lack career counselling after 10th standard which really harms our young adults....because with many students what haplens is due to lack of knowledge of career options they go with the crowd and if by chance they are not able to be as successful as others they get really demotivated and therefore places like kota faces many suicides because kids really dont know that what else can be the option except doing medical or engineering...so they really give up...
I hope you guys will read this comment and will show your concern in the next episode
