Nice catch and thanks for sharing! This is probably your LONGEST video yet and with a slow train. I was expecting some helper engines in the middle or at the end but I guess he was running light enough without needing them. I thought that first car was going to run the crossing but it immediately stopped when the signals sounded and the gates went down. That car eventually turned around and did not wait. I enjoyed the "Flora" graffiti on that one car along with the colorful tag on the second to last car. Quite artistic tags! These drivers were VERY patient waiting for this train to cross over the road. Happy Easter Brenton from New Mexico!
Happy Easter to you as well. This is a typical freight train for this line but creeping by at 10 miles an hour, it seemed longer than normal. He took off once they got over the switch. There was some interesting graffiti indeed but I'm glad they didn't tag that old Chessie System hopper.
@@Brenton81 Thank you! I have tried to watch some other train videos on TH-cam but they cannot compare to yours in overall quality AND with your videos NEVER having camera shaking which drives me nuts with some of those other videos. Anyhow, yes, the train did "speed up" a bit which I am sure made the waiting drivers happy since not everyone is a train fan. (My elderly friends in San Jose, CA. where I grew up HATE waiting for trains and cannot understand why I LOVE seeing them but it is all in good fun.) You make an interesting point about the taggers and those old classic freight cars. Yes, let us hope they find something else to tag on a train, even though they should not be tagging at all.
My very first videos were handheld and shaky. They're hard to watch. I still like to keep it simple. Set the camera on a tripod and let it roll. Some people enjoy just seeing the engines, some like to watch the whole train. I prefer to shoot at crossings so there's horn in my videos. I have signal fans who enjoy watching the crossing gates in action too. A little bit of everything for everyone!
@@Brenton81 I know the feeling all too well about shaky videos and panning too fast since I did a lot of that when I first shot videos in the late 1980's. I sure learned from my filming mistakes like we all do. You do everything VERY well and please don't change on how you film train videos. I like to watch EVERYTHING that you said in these comments along with those tags on the trains. That "Flora" one on this train is my VERY favorite since we had a dear relative in our family with that name who passed on decades ago. I got a BIG laugh out of this tag since it is so artistically well done. Kudos to the tagger! And so your train video shows keep me entertained along with watching Virtual Railfan across the country. I get high with trains and not drugs. Thanks again Brenton!
Yeah. They replaced the mechanical bell with an electronic one, so it kind of lost it's uniqueness. Only reason I shot this here was because they never use the siding for meets, so this is an uncommon occurrence.
@@Brenton81 No, as in the cars must have been taken out previously to allow the meet to happen here. A lot of cold connection reefers were in the siding.

Awesome catch, keep up the good work!
Nice rail footage! Hopefully Union Pacific does not make plans to sell this line.
Looks like these have gate mechanisms from Racine. These had Safetran mechs a few years ago.
They got brand new gate mechs and that stupid electronic bell last summer.
I Loved Your Channel
Is this the same location that a train is to slow and wait another train to clear before getting another warrant.
Greetings im in love with youre videos
And ive subscribed to ya and hit the Bell

AND IN 4K?!?!?!
Yep. I've been shooting in 4K since September 2019. It took TH-cam over 24 hours to process this one in HD.
@@Brenton81 ahh i see keep it up matie
Must have taken the cars out of Kay then.
Nope. They were put in there specifically to let the 2nd MPRAL past. No pick-up.

Yeah, it's been empty for a while now.
