I gave a question as a yoshi player which is trying to break into the blue ranks. I'm facing a wall which I cannot breach because my launcher 99% of the times consist in Flash or a+x y+b. Is there something else I should review to improve in this?
I really hope the nerf Reina in the future man. It genuinely feels like you're fighting two characters when you're going against her. She's at Feng levels with the way her offense freely flows into more and more segments, and everything from her just HURTS man. You can't even escape her to reset to neutral due to the fact she has ff2, and on top of all of this, they decided to give her two EWGFs, a hopkick, some of the best heat engagers in the game(one that's even low crushing), and a cancelable hard-to-hit guard break. Her lows are shit but holy fuck man. It feels like how with Kuni in T7 was built to be the best around T7's gameplay, Reina was built to best around T8's gameplay
so much of this is wrong or means nothing. her female frame + short height movement being triple or better of the quality of most characters in the game is what makes her broken. she has good frame traps and coverage, but they don't necessarily set her apart from anybody else. in fact, most characters are way harder-- she's just easy as dirt to play. you can't say something needs to be nerfed when you don't understand it and you're clearly being destroyed by it personally. devil jin is way worse to deal with than her in every situation besides jab exchanges. Reina's main quality is having the best 1,1 in the franchise's history. the move isn't that broken but what's broken is that she gets to move freely after hitting that unreactable safe jailing hit confirm which creates a cycle of unknowing. in the end she doesn't even "need a nerf". you just need to assess the situations individually and break down how to prevent it from even happening in the first place. Reina's pressure is only gonna succeed if you're getting hit and trying too hard to fight back. being put in a bad spot and then trying to get out recklessly makes you lose twice. makes you lose a 3rd time when you complain about it aimlessly. don't 3-0 yourself when you're not even playing the game. it's a game of counters in rock paper scissors; if the girl who mostly swings rock is winning that convincingly... it says a lot about the players and nothing about the characters or game.
She's not as bad as you think she is. But a good player can make any character a nightmare to go against. I used to struggle against her until I started using her offline in ghost battles and learned her full moveset. Some of those ghosts will interrupt your sentai every...damn..time. Once I learned how to manage sentai, she became much easier to face.
She can autopilot offense against unexperienced players (who doesn't in this game tho) but as Xenoguru says learning how to deal with sentai will do a lot vs her. You can launch punish her high reward options and force her to mix!
"Yeooooooo!!!" For the win! 😂
