So you can see the police had ABSOLUTELY no reason to do what they did. Black and white, this is police abuse. Motorcycle had plates fully displayed legally, registered, insured, licensed. I had my hands in the air when he attacked me.. Never tried to run or avoid them.

All I saw was you run a stop sign, never heard any sirens and even "if" you were driving reckless that doesn't mean they get to manhandle you like that , they never gave any orders just pulled you off your bike, threw you on the ground, that's bullsh!t

Guelph police are known for excessive police force due to little to no crime ever happening there leading to most cops getting power hungry

Please, do keep us informed of the developments. I support police forces doing their jobs, but getting them brought to justice when they abuse their power is the only way citizens can feel safe around them.
Hopefully the officer has to pay for the bike and gear out of his own pocket. gets jail time for assault, losses his job, and the rider wins lawsuit against officer. Definitely an illegal traffic stop. No lights, no sirens. Just straight up jumps the biker who clearly was parking and at a dead end location. I saw no indication of running, and I saw no indication of a traffic stop being initiated. I seen a traffic violation that could of been a ticket and an easy case for the officer. Now the officer made an easy case for the biker. What a shame. I hope he does at least 5 years in jail.

1 - What date did this happen? I recall seeing this clip a while ago. I saw from another comment you are still searching for lawyers?
2 - Any damage to the bike?
3 - Did you actually go to jail? Did the cop relax a little bit after putting you in cuffs?

Dude has beef just bc you ride a bike.... what stunt riding? Bc you had enough clearance to merge into the turn lane, but wouldn't in a car? You didn't wheelie or split lanes or pass anyone or even use excessive speed... cop is on a power trip with a personal vendetta against bikers

All jokes aside, the fuel capacity and the suspension are the only real gripes. The fuel mileage is phenomenal. I left it in power mode 3, and short shifted to keep the rpm's down, and got over 58mpg. I have yet to get less than 50mpg. Loads of torque...when you need it and when you don't. Absolutely a great bike. I wish that I could have only owned this bike from when I first started riding on the road.

His actions for improper lane usage (looks like a bicycle lane), and running a stop sign definitely warrant a lawsuit. His wife is probably cheating on him with someone who rides. Cop should be working the tilt-a-whirl at the county fair.

Cop could’ve handled that better. Video on the tagged users page says Ontario, Canada. It doesn’t show when the cop starts following him, but at one point he burns the stop sign on the right turn and hits 80 in a 50. Video adds some more context but would like to see everything leading up to it.

You are someone with a brain I’m replying to so he’s more: Lane splitting is SO HIGHLY ILLEGAL there and because of that no one had a clue he was going to pull out like that. This is a ridiculous use of force like no way did he have any need to throw you off your bike like that. He made the determination that he was going to do that before he even got out of his truck. Keep us up to date on it .

Only thing i could see that could actually be considered reckless driving, is that you slowed /yielded at a stop sign instead of stopping. The turn you took, was off a 60 mph speed limit onto a 50 mph speed limit road, and that you hit about 80 mph on the 50 mph road. Idk what state you’re in but in Maryland if you’re driving 25+ miles an hour, it’s considered a criminal charge and reckless driving. But that cop still handled that situation very poorly, didn’t even read you your rights at the very least. Hope you get a big court pay day

That's a fat bag of cash. Assuming some assumptions that's probably a warrantless arrest. I didn't hear or see any sirens which if true would mean no traffic stop and no pursuit, which means no exigent circumstances which means officer trespassing and arresting on private property without a warrant. I'm assuming there isn't missing information like a warrant for this guy
no siren or lights, never announced her was a police officer, assaulted me and damaged my property. 100% i have no option but to sue

After doing some online digging, it looks like the "stunt driving" the cop was talking about was you turning in the bike lane, which is allowed in some parts of Canada, though illegal in other parts. It depends on the traffic laws for that specific place, though since you said you're in Ontario, you should be fine since it's generally allowed. If I were you, I'd make sure to check if it's allowed in your specific area in Ontario, as well as ask a lawyer.
the traffic infraction has nothing to do with it brother. Its the assault and damage of property, its the not once using sirens and lights its not once did he announce he was a police officer.

If you look at the description it says Ontario, Canada. I am pretty sure the only state it's 100% legal to lane split is California.

What bro did is actually very time saving, Wyoming is 65% Elderly so sometimes it’s easier to get in the freeway by going around them because they wait till there’s a mile spacing between cars to hop on😭. This is one of the worst cops who don’t know the law, you were safely riding your bike on the road and out of the blue this cop tackles you to the ground with no living proof at all
Well. He didn't stop at the stop sign and drove on the shoulder while doing it. He deserved a ticket, not a tackle. Though with how often bikers run, I'm not shocked that he was dragged off.

Well in your video of you biking 3 months ago you showed yourself going 145kmh on a main road with other cars, so I’m gonna assume the cop was likely right.
I don’t know man. The video’s only two minute long which makes me think you were popping wheelies and burning out 5 minutes before you got home. Plus when he says “stunt driving” you only said “okay” like you knew you were doing what he was talking about. I couldn’t imagine him trying to argue that the action of you going onto the shoulder and filtering to a right turn at that stop sign would be dangerous stunt driving.
Yeah, I agree that there was most likely more that wasn't shown leading up to the tackle but it still doesn't explain why the cop came in so hard and heavy without any warning. Unless he had good reason to believe the guy would make a run for it such as no plates he should have shown some sign and not jump scared the poor biker. Then there is the whole tackle which was super uncalled for. He had his hands up and had turned off the bike. I'd like to see any biker take off from a parked bike without dropping thier hands. Cop has a huge chip on his shoulder.
